Hey man car is looking great.

Not sure if its possible on the M20 engine but the S50 I just put in my M3 has the Power steering reservor attached to the engine arm (stock set up on e36 M3's) so its hidden
Under the manifold and intake boot/filter. If possible to do on yours it might give you cleaner look in that section. You will probably need to trim hose that goes under reservoir. Just an idea :)

Just ordered an M42 radiator (with built in expansion tank) for the Touring. As much as I love the look of the all Alloy Mishimoto e36 radiator, I hate the look of the ugly expansion tank more.

New wheels arrived today from the UK. Alpina 16x7's. Will be putting them on the daily for now, but might suss them out on the wagon later on at some point.

So far have only managed to get one center cap off due to the locks being so damn hard to open... Only have one key so am going to get another few cut. Pretty keen to do away with the whole locking system completely to be honest, if they are always going to be this hard, would rather just have something else...

Is there any aftermarket replacements or any other locks that people have retrofitted to do away with the alpina locks. Not keen to spend $300+ on new locks from Alpina...

I played around with my steering wheel choice the other day. I think i have settled on the GripRoyal wheel in the end even though the Alpina 3 spoke is the 'better' wheel. But I love the woodgrain finish of the GripRoyal. Even though it is a darker grain than the Alpina knob, it still matches it well imo

Also ordered some Schmidt flat caps for the TH lines:

Finally dragged the wagon out of the garage and gave it a wash (for the first time in 4 months…) and found that the whole car was covered in a light mist overspray from all the parts i had sprayed wrinkle black in the shed :/ (stupid mistake… didn't cover the car up enough) can't see it in the pic, but to rub your hand over the car, it felt like fine sandpaper… :/

So got the detailer out today to try and remove it. He is still outside working on it as i post this actually but is Looking great so far and almost all of the overspray has been removed thankfully.

    Thanks a lot mate :)

It can be improved a bit still. There is the option of changing to an M42 radiator setup with the in-built expansion tank. Could also delete ABS which I am considering, but would have to sort out non-ABS brake lines somehow. Then could get really extreme and delete power steering to get rid of the reservoir.

Not keen on driving this tank without power steering though ;)
