Thanks mate :) yeah def need a lot of patience and a lot of spare time. Is a massive job.
I have the battery factory mounted in the rear of my daily 318is and the cable seems to be very close to the size of the 0 gauge audio cable I am using for the battery relocate in the touring. So should be fine.
I will take some photo's of the rear battery setup once I have finished it all up. The battery I am using is a Bosch battery, not sure if it came with the car originally or if it was replaced (i am assuming it has been replaced) but it fits in the rear compartment perfectly :)
How could you not like Tourings!! haha good to see i have influenced your opinion for the better ;)E30 325i Touring currently under construction.

In the last couple of days I have had a few new arrivals:
Alpina Knob

Grip Royal wheel

And also got the fuse box mouned properly with all the wires neat enough to get the dash and center console back on

Took all those photo's off my instagram hence the sizing etc...E30 325i Touring currently under construction.

So here is the 99% finished product. All wires finished, fuel lines finished. Turned the key today and after a few cranks it fired up and idled just fine. Still isn't ready for a proper drive yet (still need to re-install interior trims, also waiting on fuel pressure gauge so that i can set the fuel pressure properly) so there is still plenty of chance for problems when the car is put under load, but for the time being, things seem to be working as I had hoped :)
Ignore the horrible OE anti rust brown goo as well as the windscreen washer hose hanging over the headlight. Also the random nut sitting there near the FPR lol

Thanks a lot mate :)
It can be improved a bit still. There is the option of changing to an M42 radiator setup with the in-built expansion tank. Could also delete ABS which I am considering, but would have to sort out non-ABS brake lines somehow. Then could get really extreme and delete power steering to get rid of the reservoir.
Not keen on driving this tank without power steering though ;)
Is a nice bit of gear isn't it :)E30 325i Touring currently under construction.

I played around with my steering wheel choice the other day. I think i have settled on the GripRoyal wheel in the end even though the Alpina 3 spoke is the 'better' wheel. But I love the woodgrain finish of the GripRoyal. Even though it is a darker grain than the Alpina knob, it still matches it well imo

Also ordered some Schmidt flat caps for the TH lines:

Finally dragged the wagon out of the garage and gave it a wash (for the first time in 4 months…) and found that the whole car was covered in a light mist overspray from all the parts i had sprayed wrinkle black in the shed :/ (stupid mistake… didn't cover the car up enough) can't see it in the pic, but to rub your hand over the car, it felt like fine sandpaper… :/

So got the detailer out today to try and remove it. He is still outside working on it as i post this actually but is Looking great so far and almost all of the overspray has been removed thankfully.
