So here is the 99% finished product. All wires finished, fuel lines finished. Turned the key today and after a few cranks it fired up and idled just fine. Still isn't ready for a proper drive yet (still need to re-install interior trims, also waiting on fuel pressure gauge so that i can set the fuel pressure properly) so there is still plenty of chance for problems when the car is put under load, but for the time being, things seem to be working as I had hoped :)
Ignore the horrible OE anti rust brown goo as well as the windscreen washer hose hanging over the headlight. Also the random nut sitting there near the FPR lol

In the last couple of days I have had a few new arrivals:
Alpina Knob

Grip Royal wheel

And also got the fuse box mouned properly with all the wires neat enough to get the dash and center console back on

Took all those photo's off my instagram hence the sizing etc...Leave a comment:

Thanks mate :) yeah def need a lot of patience and a lot of spare time. Is a massive job.
I have the battery factory mounted in the rear of my daily 318is and the cable seems to be very close to the size of the 0 gauge audio cable I am using for the battery relocate in the touring. So should be fine.
I will take some photo's of the rear battery setup once I have finished it all up. The battery I am using is a Bosch battery, not sure if it came with the car originally or if it was replaced (i am assuming it has been replaced) but it fits in the rear compartment perfectly :)
How could you not like Tourings!! haha good to see i have influenced your opinion for the better ;)Leave a comment:

Is 0 gauge audio cable the same thing? I have a cable from a 325 but I'm not sure it's long enough.
Any pics of how you mounted the battery? Maybe it's because I have a e36 battery and it's a little taller that the door wont close?Leave a comment:

Nice work on the wire tuck I don't think I would ever have the patience to do thatLeave a comment:

Thanks mate, yeah i have already mounted the battery, fits perfect and door shuts just fine :)
I am using 0 gauge wire to run from the battery to under the dash so should do the job just fine.Leave a comment:

When mounting the battery in the boot make sure it's not mounted to high up of the compartment door won't close anymore. I used a 325 battery to boot kit but because the battery sits on a platform the door won't close.
Nice job on the bay!Leave a comment:

Current status of the Tourings engine bay. Still need to run the cables for the Ignition coil and I am still waiting on the Radiator hose joiner to arrive. Fuel lines are all done and the rest of the wiring is all done now. Just need to tidy up all the cabling under the dash in the interior and also still need to mount the battery in the boot and cable that. But not far off now from turning the key and hoping it starts again :/
Hybrid Racing Fuel pressure reg

Nuke fuel rail with XRP AN6 fittings and fuel lines

Replaced all the bolts with new polished stainless allen head bolts and also replaced the fender screws with some matt black counter sunk washer screws.

Fitted the factory water level sensor into the tucked washer fluid bottle last night. Half way through extending the lighting loom as well.Leave a comment:

No problems. Was pretty easy to mount under there. Only had to make up one small bracket.
Thanks mate. Hopefully the finished result will be worth it, it is a massive job so far. A LOT harder to tuck than the civic was :/
I am getting fairly close to finishing, am waiting on a big delivery of cable trunk/loom stuff as well as nuts/bolts/washers and -AN fittings to get over here from the US. Once that Arrives I can finish the main engine loom and fuel lines etcLeave a comment:

Mounted the tucked windscreen washer bottle. It is a 1.2ltr i found on Ebay. Mounted it under the passenger side front corner. Then ran a smallish silicon hose up from the bottle into the corner next to where the headlight mounts so that i can re-fill the bottle. Will make it a little hard to tell water level but i can manage.

Sort of hard to see but the hose is just there in the corner:
