    Mosh's 318is Build Log

Hello, I am a new member to r3vlimited and the e30 scene. I have been building cars for a few years now, my biggest project with my brother doing a 2jz-gte VVT-i swap into an IS300.

Now it is time to turn my attentions to my new e30, here it is the day i got it!

New muffler (temporary before s50 swap so I could drive it for a bit)

It had cancer pretty bad so my first job is set out to completely eliminate all rust. I replaced the door, fixed the fender, and removed small spots all around the car.

Now taping it up and prepping it for paint! (pics soon)

After paint it is getting the wheel wells blasted and all the suspension components replaced/upgraded.

This thing is so fun to drive, even though it is a complete turd at the moment. That will changed when I drop an s50 into it but for now im content with what it can do. This winter is when the real fun starts!

There are a few goodies on the way so when the arrive pics will ensue.

haha I would love to but I want to build this car for a track and the 2jz is just not practical there especially that build which pumps out 612hp/602tq.

Anyways I am probably going to s50 the e30 for now and then down the road boost it when I feel i need more out of it. I want the bmw to run and drive whenever i want to take it somewhere, and I want to work on it and i WANT to work on it haha. More updates tomorrow on where it is at, also going to KOI tomorrow to get my paint.

I have one last spot of rust to grind down before i can start wet sanding. I went and purchased paint today, KOI had customer appreciation day going on and I got everything i needed for the full job for $300, and it was normally $550!
