Got the M30B35 out of the engine bay today and got the LM7 on the engine stand and started stripping it down. After that I went to town on the floor, stripped the driver side to bare metal and put a couple coats of por-15 down

Alright so its been a while since I've updated this thread, and not much has changed on the bav. I moved into a new house that has a garage for the bavaria to live in; which has enable me to do some of the bigger projects ive wanted to do. I'm in the process of installing a painless 18 circuit wiring harness and should have pictures of the install this weekend.
The big news is a change in plan for motors! Ive been in contact with Jakeb and after seeing his thread with blunts e12 I bought a LM7

Cannan AFB was my first duty station, lol. I was there when the still had F-16's. NM is a strange place, there was a euro 82 633CSI in the junk yard across the tracks on Prince st for the longest time, random. I had a 85 325e that I got for 600 from the same yard. Nice project, should be a lot of fun when complete. PM me where you work, maybe some of the old heads are still kicking around there.

not much has gotten done with the bav in the last couple months. mostly small projects that weren't worth documenting. Last weekend I redid the fuel system, and added an in tank fuel pump from an e30. Today I received one of the last big things I need to make it run, a lightweight flywheel from Ireland engineering. just need to buy a clutch kit and do some wiring and should be ready to crank
