I think I mentioned that earlier in this thread somewhere). The second kit I built only took me a few hours and has worked flawless so far.

I'm planning on going to wasted spark as well for my stroker. I've got the coil pack in the garage as well as the extra BIP373 drivers. I just need to get a set of HEI wires and then I'll have all the bits I need. I'll probably just go to the wreckers and look around. There's usually at least a couple GM cars there that have "upgraded" plug wires

Edit: I was thinking about this last night. How is your aftermarket tach currently getting it's signal? Did you splice into the signal wire for the tach in the gauge cluster? If that's the case you won't have to change anything because the TACH OUT jumper on the board (that you would have jumpered to pin 6 on the adapter board) generates the signal for you.

Also, if the only reason you have the aftermarket tach is for a shift light, you can use one of the spare outputs on the board to drive a shift light, so just use the stock tack and have a shift light mounted somewhere.

Yeah my tach is currently an aftermarket one as the one on my dash is dead and didnt bother replacing after much troubleshooting. Right now its hooked up directly to the coil.

Yeah your right It would be a lot easier doing it the second time around and I'm really thinking about it for the M30. That sounds like a good idea to go to the wreckers for the wires..

Hey thanks for looking over the diagram. I went with the DIYPNP kit and then bought the rest for the wasted spark. It was fun building it but If I had to redo it again I would of bought one directly from Keith with wasted spark already done... I learned a ton but I'm not good at all at electronics.

    What computer are you running?

Well my parts car is gone now after removing all the parts I needed from it...thanks goes out there to my father in law Robert for the help. He's a car guy himself hes got a 2007 bmw 335i and he will be helping me to tear down the spare B27 and the new M30 engine for the vert.

Meanwhile I finished soldering my MSII computer for the twincharded beast wasted spark setup. I did a diagram of the writing sequence and sent it to Keith "Wodwho" so he could validate it. The coil pack is from DIYautotune (IGN-6 COIL)

Few more things and I should be rocking 20PSI soon... what brand of custom HEI wires would you go with? MSD?ACCEL?etc..

thanks. Looks like it was originally made as a upgrade to the Buick v6's car.
    "
Looks can be deceiving. Some aftermarket coils may come in pretty colors with cosmetic cooling fins on them so they can scream, "Look at me, I'm a hot ignition coil!" The IGN-6, on the other hand, could be mistaken for a stock Chrysler ignition coil, maybe one off a Dodge Intrepid. It appears to be molded from the same tooling used to make stock replacement coils for some Mopar products, and would bolt right up to many LH platform cars and minivans. But inside, it's got a much hotter winding. This one can deliver up to 58 mJ per spark if you have a hot enough ignition module to drive it. Use with HEI type plug wire boots.
This coil also has a handy set of plug wire numbers stamped on it. These numbers are correct for a 1-2-3-4-5-6 or 1-6-5-4-3-2 firing order (many V6s; this coil was originally designed as an upgrade for Buick V6s). If you have an engine with a different firing order, such as most inline sixes (or differnet cylinder numbering), you will have to change the wires to match. For example, if you have a 1-5-3-6-2-4 order (most inline sizes), you'd pair the wires 1-6, 5-2, 3-4.
Here is the connector pinout, viewing the connector from the top, looking down at the pins."

So I made an order with DIYautotune today to upgrade my ignition to Wastedspark under the guidance of the MS master himself Keith "Whodwho" :) thanks again buddy for always being there for me.

total for everything came in at 111$before shipping and teaxes not bad at all.... I should of done this from the beginning. They sell a powerful coil pack all built so why not... its not flashy but nobody cares as long as it performs :)

Stay tuned... once this is installed I will be going beyong 15PSI to 20PSI and then its meth/water injection time. Found a racetrack where I can go do some lapping on wednesdays for 100$ for 2 hours...should have some real good footages there ;) lol..

    ***UPDATE***

Car has been running great at 15PSI on hot weather....cold weather comes and spikes to 17PSI and I get well like the rest of boosted on the OEM ignition spark blowby...backfires likes mad...

My question to you guys is ... should I go Wasted spark.... or would a system like the MSD 6A and Master blaster coil work? any advantages over one another? I need to get this fixed so I can go past 17PSI.... I'm trying to schedule a race track for 2 hours so I can get some real action vids and fun out of this beast!
