    1988 325iS s52 Euro Mtech2 build thread

I have a always wanted to build a Euro Mtech 2 coupe.
I started about 5 years ago by buying a complete Mtech Coupe
interior from Germany, since then I have been hording parts
ever since. 2 years ago I decided to pull the trigger
and do a Red Mtech 2 coupe from a 325IS,
but it needed to be a RED, it took me another 1.5 years
and 2 red 325i cars before I finally found one!
Had to fly to Oregon to get it. But Now its coming along.

    It started as a 1988 325is 5speed with 167,000 original miles

Here's the car as it was when we drove it down from Oregon:

Then some Douche bag hit my car just after I got
it when it was parked in front of my house!!!
Lucky for me, my neighbor got the dude's info

So to the body shop it went with the insurance claim,
the insurance co said that is was a classic car
now and that they will not total it since the
base value on a 325IS is now $5000:

Test fitting my other Pfeba front spoiler:

Then we dropped the S52 in the ol gurl!:

    Mtech 2 test Fit:

    Painted but not polished:

Per request, here's a sneak peek at the seats:

As of now, the car is sitting until the paint is nice and cured. Planning on getting it all put back together in the next couple of weeks.

Parts to go into the car:

    E30 M3 cluster
New Mtech2 small diameter steering wheel
Euro Mtech 2 Sport interior from Germany
    Glass Moonroof
    Heated seats wiring/ switches/etc
    Konig Remembers( for now)
    New Euro Plate filler
    New Hella Smoked Smileys
    MHW Smoke tail lights
    German Check Comp
    Headlight wiper kit
    Husco armrest
    Anthracite carpet
Racing Dynamic strut bar/ front and rear stab bars

              coming along nicely.

Have always thought the red Tech II cars were Very cool looking!

Is the interior that you have the cloth grey sport seats. I didn't realize that the M tech cars had a different interior other than the black headliner. (guess cloth is pretty rare over there though.)

That interior has been sitting in storage since early 2007... time to get it in a car!
