updates updates....... been a while and things changed

was going to a ls1 route but the machine shop offered me money for the longblock for their drag car so i couldnt refuse and sold the ls1

ripped this bitch out cuz its blows like da sum ass

modify the e30 rear subframe to fit the 02 stock mounting points.... was a bitch but got it centered

started making mounts to hold the front bumper

    okay now fast forward more.....

subframe mounted so far... see goes into stock mounting points

also purchased ireland engineering full rear coilovers also i welded on camber and toe adjusters in the rear.
    BAM SON installed...

welded the strut towers together because 02 chasis are weak sauce and like older than me

    GOTA REPRESENT!

started to fix the rocker panels with new sheet metal and reinforced angle iron still got more to do UGH

then i picked up a s52 with 80k miles.... yea i know low!!! just how i like them :)

then one day i was like lets mount this bish i pushed the engine 3 inches back so weight distribution should not be tooooo bad, hatters suck on my nut (no shits given):eyebrows

made some mounts and use a m20 condor speed shop solid mount

used stock m10 mount located but solid mount

then i purchased tii struts with e12 hubs for 5 lug swap and bilstein valved struts with 350 spring for the front

then got a free 4.10 LSD diff son!!!

my awesome 16 guage galvinized hot dipped steel sheet metal for rust repair omg it sucks :alright

    how it sits now
reverse rake son! oh yea i also made flares... they go out 3 inches still not finished i am going to extend them and make them look nice

oh yea its on ac shinzters type 3 17x8.5 et14 wrapped around 255 tires
and the front will be the same wrapped in 255 aswell

oh yea inside the cock pit

i need to mounts these one day :(

    so thats it so far.....

Today i just ordered a 300mm willwood big brake from ireland engineering for the front so i should get that in a week.

so my plan is clean/rust repair
    coilover mod for tii struts
    fab a transmission tunnel
more rust repair/clean and more and more...
remove s52 paint engine do some preventive maintenance.
    refresh front subframe
    once everything is finished

    interior time/ first start!
    rollcage
then paint, i dont have a clue what to paint it. i was thinking like grand prix white or a jet black but we shall see ....
then time to track this bitch

well i talked to ak sportscars, they make a adapter kit for the ls1 to use the getrag 260. i might go this route to keep the weight down, cheap, easier to fit.

the kit comes with the adapter plate , a centralizing disc , a bearing for the crank and a sleeve for the clutch bearing. they told me all i need is the transmission, ls3 flywheel, ls3 clutch, and starter for it to work

Oh, make sure to add brakes and diff to the list of stuff to replace. With an LS1 the 'volvo' vented upgrade won't cut it, and you'll be blowing up the stock diff with that torque like it's a joke.

lol i know.. i will be getting brakes from massive, and going to use tii struts. a

Yeah your going to need a MIG welder budy, or you'll be burning holes all day and make more work for your self.
Bigest lesson I learned with my last build (that I didn't get to finish) was TAKE YOUR TIME. If you try and rush anything you won't be happy with it and it will suck.
You will need to cut that trans tunnel out to fit the g260 corectly.
Do you have "6 into 2 does go?" It's very helpful.

Seriously now. If you're not sure whether it's worth it replacing 02´s rocker panels.. When you take the car apart more, you will find rust that's harder to repair properly.

Stick welder is not a tool for repairing car body. What you need is MIG/MAG welder at least, and a lot of practice.
