I would recommend Delrin bushings and a z3 1.9 shifter while your in there.

Dropping driveshaft makes it one million times easier. Do some research on the bitch clip removal.

    Beautiful car, good luck!

The injectors I bought are finally going on today, along with a new breather hose from the valve cover, and new hose coming from the icv which I will clean. Im about to stop a the dealership to get the antenna grommet after work because mines split. Just noticed walking into work so ill look in the trunk...praying there isnt sitting water.

Going to wait until after christmas before buying a good amount of parts. Also my lip is MIA as of yesterday...

Probably the most intersting update yet...black comfort seats were replaced with tan sport seats. What an improvement in comfort!

Figured I'd post an update. If this thread just dies again oh well... Just want to keep track of everything.

So today I swapped out my eBay non functioning fogs and replaced them with oem fogs. I have working fog lights for the first time! Pretty nifty :)

Also replaced my black side mirrors with zinno painted ones. Looks muuuuuch better.

Have sidemarkers in the way...as the car didn't come with them. So this weekend I will:

              Install sidemarkers
Duplicolor trim paint the window trim, as well as bumper trim/door mouldings/grills
Purchase new oem is lip with clips (painting it black)

Not sure if it's worth posting pictures right now...but after that stuff happens I will post pictures s the car should be looking pretty good at that point :)

Still have a bunch of stuff sitting waiting to be installed. Hopefully things start picking up. Once I can get my m3 out of storage progress will really pick up.

Figured this would be worth posting...

Decided to clean up some plastic bits with trim paint as well as put on my is lip (plastidip'd)

                The results

Also finally have all four sidemarkers hooked up and lit. Dont know why a PO painted over the ones I had, looks way better this way.

And finally, new OEM floor mats. :)

Next up is to paint the door mouldings (i painted the rear bumper trim with the front) and decide if i want to paint the chrome window trim...

Also...its getting close to suspension time.

Sorry for the double post, but its time for a real update id say! Heres what I have documented that hasnt been covered.

Around a month ago, I started getting some bad sounds from the front right brake. It sounded like the caliper was out but looking back it might of been the chrome flaking of my wheels that was rubbing against the brakes making the sound. well either way i got brakes from blunttech (shoutout ;) ) front rotors pads and a reman. caliper.

I replaced the old headunit after it went ka-put. Two days after, my rear right speaker blew. so i replaced the speakers. 4 5.25" pioneer speakers. will upgrade later

So I got bored one day and thought, hey its about time I fix my odometer. I had the gears for months but never felt motivated to do it. Well i did it, and it was easy. While I had the cluster pulled, I painted the needles. When I put it back in the next day however, my original si board batteries drained. So out came the cluster again after buying a refurbished si board from greg. Fixed all my cluster issues. Except when i put it back in one of my leds for the service indicator quit so i bought an led panel but its currently still waiting to be put in.

Decided to paint my faded ass rear shelf. Not satisfied with how it feels but it looks ok. Might redo if I come across a cheap shelf.
                  before

                  after

So now my windshield wiper fluid issue.... :hitler: i havent been very smart in my actions to try and fix it but the parts were cheap enough as i was hoping it wasnt going to be some electrical gremlin. so my wiper fluid does not spray, and my wipers do not wipe when i pull back on my wiper stalk. They work fine when you pull down or up. So I replaced the pump, hose, and t valve, really just for looks. Looking back i should of known it couldnt of been the pump since the wipers werent activating. so then i replaced the wiper stalk. still nothing. then the relay. still nothing. need someone who knows how to trace down power and whatnot to help my dumbass
but look at the difference in hoses.... thanks gutenparts!!!!

And just recently, i purchased a german check panel, euro analog clock, as well as a maplight. the panel and maplight are in, not sure if i want to put the analog clock in quite yet... i kinda like the 6 button obc... idk

And a little tease of what will eventually replace my crappy bottlecaps

Got the centercaps on the way. When they get here, ill know if i need to refinish the wheels. Caps were recently repainted in the proper color so if it doesnt match well enough, they will be sandblasted and refurbished. Will probably buy tires after my trip to chicago next weekend.

Suspension overhaul will quickly follow tires

coming together man! The z3 shifter makes the car more driver friendly and a clutch stop is kinda nice.

So I was shopping and these girls just couldn't stop staring at my e30...

(Before anyone asks I was shopping with my gf :p )

So I got caps for the weaves! Here they are initially but I realized they had good paint but no clear coat, so I took care of that last night, might show closer pictures with clear later.

So my driver window switch was not oem and has no working bulbs. The other window switch had working bulbs but you had to have the button pushed a certain way to get it working. So I bought a window switch for some spare parts and took them all apart. Cleaned connections and put together two switches that illuminate as well as function correctly! So I had all lights working but the switch acted funny, took it apart, switched out a bit, and it worked! But one of the bulbs was suddenly not working?! Ugh! It's bothering me, as i look and see the bulb isn't burned out even. So I look at the tiny wires coming from the bulb, and I see gunk on one. Clean it up, put it back together, pray, and finally everything lights up and functions. :) it's the little things lol

Just ordered some goodies for the e30 : (thank you getbmwparts)

                        -new center console
-new interior light bracket (passenger side broke)
                        -new battery tray cover
-new oem bmw mud flaps ... :) didn't think you could still source these new but you can it turns out.

Things on the to do/buy list:
Install new clutch master cylinder (possibly order ss clutch line from blunt)
                        New trunk mat/liner
                        New tires for euroweaves
Attempt to repaint euroweaves and if fail, get them powder coated :)

Also public service announcement, if you keep a spare quart of oil in your trunk like many bmw owners do, go check and make sure the top is tight if its been opened previously. I had a leak near my diff on my e46 m3 and when I looked at what it was I noticed it was coming from a drain hole in the trunk, lo and behold my spare oil came unscrewed and I had a puddle of oil sitting in my trunk :( thankfully didn't soak any wires just had to degrease the paint and stuff. None on carpet as well...I was lucky .

Well the (cheap) refinishing of the weaves is almost complete. They are primed up and the wurth silver paint + clear is arriving today in the mail. Plan to have them finished up tonight :)

priming, got to be a little late as i was making dinner at the same time, but i had more light then it looks..

                          Primed

And where the magic happened. Yes I sanded them by hand, and yes it was a pain in the ass. Like many other people who have done this have said, its not something i plan on doing again.

If anyone has tips for painting weaves let me know. As far as making sure you get paint evenly in all the spokes

Well finally finished up a few euroweaves. Two are done two have to be resanded because my dumbass tried painting and not waiting for this heat wave to end. Anyways, pretty pleased with how 2 of them came out lol

For anyone wondering, sanded down with 320 grit sand paper, washed as best i could, then primed, painted and cleared. Because i bought wurth paint that brought the price of this up a bit, but for basically 100$ these will look like new from more than 3 feet away, compared to the oh $500 to powdercoat them?

Sanded down (wheel weight was removed)

One of the fuck ups ... -___-

And pics of how the other two look like. much better lol

So because of my stupidity I now need to order another can of wurth (sorry wurth for calling your paint crap I'm just stupid) but haven't gotten tires yet so it shouldn't be too bad. In the mean time ill sand the other wheels again... Yay haha :hitler:

                                -two new center cap tools

So I quick put the battery tray in...much better.

And here's the sunshade in the windshield. It's neat, I plan on keeping it like new. Never realized how crappy my autozone shade fit until now.
