So first off I realize that this is an e30 forum and although i love the e30, I got this e36 as my first car.
This was how it looked the day i bought it.

The car after a wash..

The car was a one owner car, and the POs were an elderly Asian couple. Everything was stock on the car, the only things that were ever replaced, were things that had gone bad.
All the fluids were changed in the car come the following couple of days, which started it's life as a daily.
The first thing noticeably wrong on the car was that it shook over 65 mph, which wasn't vary good saying its a daily.
My father and I (him being an ex mechanic with around 20 years in the business working on luxury cars in England), started to diagnose the problem.
The first thing to try was the easiest, get the wheels balanced.. didn't do anything.
So with some more reading online and checking under the car, we sourced it down to the guibo..

Once we had time, the part was ordered, and the car was on a neighbors lift.
I wish i had thought to take pictures of it on the lift as it was an interesting to work on a car this way.
So the guibo got replaced and it fixed the problem with the shaking.
It was time for new tyres. I decided this would be a good time to get a different set of wheels to, just something that I would be able to use until i had enough money to get what i really want... this is what i got.

e38 style 5's.. et 23, so they are quite aggressive... I like...;)
The whole time between the time I got the car and up to this point i had been doing small things to the car... fixing the saggy glove box, fixing the alarm.. etc..
Everything had been going great until this happened....

Nothing got done until I got the clear that the car would not get written off... but once i did get the clear that it wouldn't get written off, work started once again.
The check would not come in for a while so i could get started on the body work, so i decided to do another project on my list...
I noticed that the rear shocks were completely gone on it after taking a few people in the back of my car... every bump the horrible sound of rubbing on my tyre and fender
So i was set on changing the rear shocks... but why not do an upgrade at the same time right?
Coilovers it was. Now here's the controversial part comes in... these were no ground control 2k coilovers, these were the all controversial Rokkor coilovers.
I took the leap and did it... and they've been great so far. Hopefully in the future i can upgrade again to a nice set of coilovers...but they will work for now.
The ride height as of now... and how it sits as of tonight.
This is also part of a shoot i did on the car.

I was checking under the car and noticed the front ball joints and bushings were gone, so i ordered some more, these showed up on my doorstep today..

Time to get them on.. when this weather clears up a bit.... more pictures to come.. and more in depth ones too!:)
