Came over to lend a hand/moral boost to get the e30 running by tomorrow *hoping, if all goes well*
No pics of this step
We started with the output flange being removed, I brought over my vintage Montgomery Ward 1/2" electric impact, that did the trick to get the correct flange installed.
We then moved onto the nitpicking part of harness running/hook up and coolant hoses being installed and fastened to the block before putting the manifold and bitch tube on.
First pass of 22lbs and second pass of 90 degrees is finished and ready for being run to temp and final 3rd pass of 90 degrees.
Sitting at a good place for tomorrow, we'll get the remaining accessories installed and give it a first fire. He is awaiting the correct CSB for the drive shaft.

This was good motivation to get the e30 up and running.
Anyway, majority of work was done today getting the engine wired and plumbed. Tomorrow just need alternator, TB, and a once over to make sure connections are made and bolts tightened.
Only other thing that has to wait is the drive shaft with the proper CSB ordered.

FrankM e30 came over and we found the issue. The ABS system is different between early and late and in turn the pins @ c101 were grounding out the power after the relay.
A little electrical trouble shooting after the fuel pumps weren't on found the signal from the ecu not there so jumped pin 85 to ground and that triggered fuel.
Took this last night after some chicken wings. I honestly believe that was part of the issue. A severe lack of chicken wings were being eaten before working on the car. Historically I've done my best work with wing sauce still in my beard and my fingernails stained orangy red. Was from the 2nd start as the first time literally scared the hell out of me.
Now to just slap the hoses and cooling system back together and get the proper CSB that blunt sent installed.
