Made the wise decision to replace the stock 25+ year old bolts with hardened ones(brass washers).

Satin black covers that are powder coated with all the new bits covered.

Sadly, this is where we came to halt, after I noticed the rear main seal is for an auto and not a standard transmission...NO PILOT guild! Would have had the engine all in and most of the lines hooked up. It is always the little STUPID shit, that keeps a swap from going smooth.

Missing the upper timing cover bolt(smaller one)
    Two head studs(missing from factory)
Replace rear main seal with correct one and redo the oil pan gasket.

Not too bad for half of a Wednesday and bit of a Thursday, we spent most of Thursday prepping the bay and cleaning/installing tons of small 'while you're in there' parts. Will be back on the road in no time!

I need to find a kick in the ass, to swap those two cars and figure out what is wrong with that dumb one. I'm just glad it is super close to being in and running.

Well more hurdles to jump. Output flange from the old transmission is this:

                          New is this:

Which I believe is leading to a huge gap between guibo and flanges:

                          Also:

Damn late model CSB. My car is an 87 but must have one of the straddle months where there was some cross over of parts.

Anyone have a tip on getting the flanges swapped? Looks like it needs a thin walled deep socket...

I have the socket to remove the flange, and I had the same issue with mine for the CSB, I made a plate then welded it on. Bring the shaft over and I'll weld it up for you.

I'm free all day, just let me know when you're on the way. Bring the shaft and do some measuring to figure out how much of a plate box in we need to reach the hole. I did mine on the car, so no patterns on hand.
