    The latest E30 - "ROLLE30"

I just got a shell, it needs a lot of love but will be good enough for me and what I want to do with it.

My last E30 met its fate on October 9th upside down in a ditch, and I will be reusing a lot of the same parts, so I'll call this new one the Rolle30 - DS Disaster. The exterior isn't great and is originally DS, but since I need to paint the hood and trunk lid and get fenders, the whole thing is probably going to get sprayed satin black.

I don't know what else to really say yet, but I have some pictures. I'm fairly certain most of my wheels are bent, and possibly my driver side strut could be bent in giving excessive camber and wheel-rub on the strut. I had to get the car to a state where it could roll, so I just temporarily stacked some washers on the hub as a ghetto spacer and it still touches some. I know there will be a lot of parts that I think I can re use and find that I cannot. First being my motor mounts, the arms snapped but the motor mounts seemed intact, until I removed them, the stud and metal area on the bottom of both e28 mounts were bent all to hell.

    First pic-

    Lots of shit inside-

Moved and emptied out, ready to get the front suspension going-

I forgot about this, I am just assembling the front end basically temporarily until I can do it later when I know exactly what I need to replace and can in the mean time roll the car around... I straightened it out with a pair of pliers and put a couple more studs in from another one around here.

Haz probl3m. Wheel no fit on strut anymore, combination of both pieces probably.

Sketch, but temporarily assembled...and yes I know that tire is backwards. The two driver side tires' beads popped and the wheels looked even worse.

    More to come.

Originally a '91 318is, it got an M20 when e34croak owned it. This car won't be as extreme as my last one, I might even have a functional heater. There's been a lot of questionable stuff done to it, but should be all fixable. Enough.

Well, I've already saved it from being chopped up, now I just need to make it presentable! :)

              Things to do, with quickness:

Drop rear subframe, then hope and pray that my modified rear subframe isn't bent and attempt to put it in... I think it narrowly missed the carnage.

Get medieval on the brake booster clevis pin on the brake pedal, fucking thing is stuck hard core. Leaving that for later.

Remove unnecessary brackets in the engine bay, and maybe put on the early front end. Yes, I will at least temporarily be running an early front and a diving board. Hate.

ABS? Whassat. Delete. Once I can get my booster in I can run my "custom" bent lines that bypass it. Saved them from the last one.

Take out more of the non existant interior, the head liner is trashed and I want to run my sunroof delete panel.

Find more parts I need to replace and make an order. I am trying to build this thing as cheaply as possible since I have most of the stuff already. It sucks to find things that I thought were good to be shit though.

Found the damn vise grips and got that clevis pin out along with the whole booster and MC. ABS pump is loose, and next up in that area is to trim back the unnecessary brake lines going everywhere. I hope I can find all my special little bent up lines.

Things I know I need but don't have:

E36 rack, if I go that route, and lemfoerder tie rods. They're the only ones that clear the brake disc. I think I have a shitty stock E30 rack around here, but yuck. My 95 m3 rack's casting broke where the input shaft is.

                    E28 motor mounts.

Straight wheels that fit my brakes. I probably need a couple more of the same (TRM C1) to make a set of good ones.

DS front strut housing? Maybe bent.

                    CSB

Shift console thingie (Cast aluminum style)

I have a set of E36 motor mount arms on the way to me, so that's a plus anyway.
