Turd Alert! Getting to know the 30

Well I have done build threads in the past with other cars that I have owned. But when i bought this thing I never really thought that I was going to do much with it other then just sproose it up a little bit and then drive the doors off of it. As you can only imagine I fell in love.... and have started doing what we all do and replace replace replace. Lucky for me I am a BMW tech, so OE parts come at a rel. cheap price. That turns into my paycheck going right back to who pays me haha. I never really took any pics of the car before I started doing stuff due to me never thinking it would make it anywhere. So I will post a few that I have and explain as I go ha.

Some shots as I took them. This is after it has BC coils, ESM borbet reps, and misc. other little things like the rack and new parts. Mostly oe stuff to make it come back to itself.

Then i decided to start doing things and actually taking pics... I will start taking more now that I have made this. Just for fun really. But I really got tired of the typical cracked dash so I ordered a new one through work... yes.... they actually still make them ha.

    Pulling it out

While doing that I always knew that I had a leak somewhere inside. So i ordered a new sunroof seal. Then I noticed this...

So, just got that coming today. In that time that it has been down for all of this I got a spur up my rear and decided to look for wheels. I went down a not so normal path. And I am not too sure how they are going to look but picked up a set of ccw lm20's. Pretty aggressive offset so fitment on those is still to come haha. There will be much fender and rear subframe love.

    Just picked up

    After a little cleaning

So with that said... This weekend I plan to have the wheels fit on the car and see what is all needed to make them "fit". I know it is not what everyone likes.... but it is what it is haha.

Cant wait for all the parts to come in and then on to the next order.... All new ext trim.

That heater valve is on back order from Germany. I had to source one from another dealership. Glad I fixed mine because the next day it dropped into the 40's lol

Good job on going through BMW for your dash; it's pricey, but it's made with the new leather they use in the newest models that is virtually indestructible (by sunlight ). I'm sure that wont stop you from babying it however ;)
Looking forward to see you put it in as I'm looking to get one as well

Other than that, I did the whole heat core/heater valve thing and documented it too. Don't forget to order new O-Rings! They're the most important part

Other than that, this e30 looks great. Love the OEM+ look, and an iS to boot

Wheels are finally done... going to pick them up tonight and then restretch the tires on the wheels...I am sure that is going to be fun.

Other then that, new vents, window switch, and lower dash panels are on the way. Ordered them today.

I am sure I will be posting up some more pics later tonight of the work we had to do to them.

So here are a few of the test fit pics. I knew the rear was going to be rather aggressive. But I have work to do to make that work. No biggie.

Still cant wait putting the tires on and all that tomorrow.

                        And finally doing work.

Damn that looks nice. What size wheels were the ESMs and did you have any rubbing issues when turning?
