90 Alpine White 325IS - also know as the least exciting build thread EVER.

Like the title says, this is probably going to be the least exciting build thread ever. I do have plans, but because of financial and time obligations, it will be slow going.

I mainly want to put this thread up to keep track of all I do to my car, and to ask questions, and to layout my plans.

I'll start with a pic of my car from the day I bought it (March 2nd 2013)

    My plans for the car:
    Exterior
    • Remove Pinstripe (3/10/2013)
    • Repaint
    • M-Tech 1 Trunk Spoiler
    • IS Skirts
    • Euro Ellipsoids with HID
    • Euro Grill
    • Euro Bumper Trim
    • Euro Side Markers
    • Plate Filler
    • New Roundels
    • New Wheels (haven't decided yet)

    Interior
    • Rear Headrests
    • Reupholster seats
    • Lukebox
    • New Headunit
    • Replace All Speakers
    • New Headliner
    • New Steering Wheel (haven't decided yet)

    Engine/Drivetrain/Suspension
    • 5 Speed Swap
    • E36 Rack
    • Ground Countrol Street Touring Kit (440/650)
    • Vert Front Sway/ IX Rear Sway
    • Engine??

My engine/drivetrain/suspension section is a little light right now, because I'm still researching everything. This is going to be my daily driver, and at most it will be an "aggressive street" car. As such, I'm trying to balance between "MOAR POWAR!" and actual driveability. All I know for sure is I want it to be a fun car to drive.

Anyway, this is my thread. I want to thank everyone, in advance, for any advice/help/kudos they may offer.

A question and an update. (yes, I'm updating a thread I JUST posted, so sue me. :p)

I took off the pinstripe today. Here's a before:

    And after:

    And now a question:
Would this be a good engine to swap? Keep in mind, I don't have a 5 speed right now, so this could be a two birds, one stone scenario:

I think my build thread could be a challenger for least exciting haha

      Very very clean car, though!

A hair dryer, Goof Off and elbow grease. It's actually pretty easy if you leave the car out in the sun for a bit, on a warm day, then you really don't even need the hair dryer. Unfortunately for me, today was cold.

Pantless owns that thread title. Driving your car alone means more progress.
