Well guys, I've been on R3V for a while now, but never really got too terribly involved, so here's my attempt at sharing my E30 ventures with everyone!
Not that it's necessarily applicable here, but for those of you who are on instagram, feel free to follow me @TeddyLongShlong, I tend to keep it updated pretty frequently.
A little background on my E30 history, I purchased a 1987 325e last year around September, sold it and then acquired a M/S50 swapped one (now sold to a guy in Florida, who is also on here).
Anyway, still having the swapped E30 as my DD, I purchased a second 325e (now sold to...yet another floridian)
Upon selling my swapped E30 I knew I had to have another...or two more. So about a week ago I bought these two "beaut's". The black one (an automatic), is a owner car from Florida (even has the original bill of sale from 1987, thought that was pretty cool! It says the car is equipped with LSD too?), and in the purchase of the black car I also got a 325i motor, transmission, wire harness, and ecu...WHOSE GOT A SHELL FOR SALE?! ;)
And the blue one is a 2 owner car, guy's had it since 2002.
Both 325e cars, both with a ton of receipts!
(the blue one will be for sale here shortly)

From there I took them both home and decided to take the black one to Import Alliance this past Sunday in Atlanta. Saw a bunch of cool cars, and met some cool guys from R3V there as well!

Upon seeing all of the "modded" cars I decided to make some changes. While at Import Alliance I got a hold of Laurance with Extreme Autos INC (great customer service btw, I'd recommend them to anyone) and purchased some JOM coilovers immediately; had them second day shipped and received them today (they're already on the car too:nice:).

Yesterday I took a skid plate I had from one of my past SRT-4's and mounted it to the front bumper (as seen above); it need some more tweaking, but it should sit nice when all finished and readjusted.
I searched for the past 3 days for a decent set of wheels and tires that would fit, and finally decided on these; drove total of 6 hours today for them, but I'd say it was worth it!
Specs on the wheels, for those who may be interested, they're Klutch SL1 wheels, 15x8.5 square set up, 195/45/15 tires.

I went ahead and dropped my car off at my buddy's garage so they could start wrenching on it and have most of it done by the time I got back with the wheels (it pays to have good friends/enthusiasts!!)

From there we ran into a bit of a dilemma...contrary to what "research" I though I had conducted properly, the +17 offset of the wheels wouldn't clear the brake calipers...so, rather than wait until today and run stockers for the time being, we decided to shave down some of the brake caliper in an attempt to get the wheels to fit.. (hold the negative comments, we'll all do our own facepalm emoji )...it worked, to a certain extent, but it got to a point where it was getting too late and taking too long, so I just threw stock basket weaves back on the front and left the other wheels on the back to get me home.

And here we are about 2 hours ago when I got home...It's been a long day, but why not end it with a build thread, no?

Thanks guys! I'll keep the thread updated as the car continues to change!
Now, with all of that being said, for you fitment guys, do you think a 3mm spacer will suffice in giving me enough clearance over the calipers and shock housings?
