E36 with a difference

Purchased this car from a buddy of mine. Typically I've driven/slid around in older RWD cars, but I thought I'd give the 'modern' E36 a try.

92 non-vanos M50, 5spd - can't be bad right?



Did basic things, took it to a few track days, subframe fell off...




Repaired that mess, got it aligned (all ok!), got coilovers and corrected the ride height...



Cops didn't like our activites



Went to the track more often, car was getting beat




Then over winter, I decided it was time for some changes.






As it stands:

Coilovers
Welded 3.91 diff
Camber plates
Buckets
Stock M50 with headers and straight pipe into Tanabe 'muffler'
M3 bumper and skirts
15x8 -12 wheels
Hydro ebrake
Tie rod spacers
No luxury stuff
E30 headlights

Awesome fun!

E46 arms and E90 inners to go on, and paint asap.

I let the wheels do some of it, then a concrete barrier interfered with one side... then I used a jack handle and a lump hammer to correct that.
I will be making them a little better before paint, but the fact is.... they will get abused.
