my 325 build

never took any pics when i first bought her but these were taken at the body shop where shes getting her new coat, Barberarot pearl B/C 911236.
decided to have the engine bay painted first then once the engine was done and in, the rest of the body.



found this at a wreckers by chance the other day for 80 bucks, they list for 300.

tested out the high heat wrinkle paint for the valve cover on the stress bar, like the look so will go ahead with it, pics next week.

so this is the look i'm aiming for in my build................just kidding saw it the other day had to share.

yeah i cant wait to get her running been so long what with my work, but hopefully next week we will be closer to starting her up

why is the falken eyebrow tint backwards lol

so you could read it when you looked in your mirror when im behind you :)
plus i was riding on falken FK452's right after they were released, great tire

continued the tear down of my 'is' which is now a parts car.

this is the reason why she became a parts car and the fact that she didnt want start ever again.

some major front end damage that wasnt fixed right, could never get her to aline straight

any way out with the rack, need it for the 4door



nice and clean ready for install next week, will have more pics then

few months ago got the m20 from the 'is' back from the machine shop





all nicely honed, balanced and polished ready to be built as soon as the 4 dr is done

started stripping her last year, removed the engine and transmission(which is now on the 4door). just started to strip out the rest of the goodies

So you put an automatic Eta engine in an 89 325i?

actually it was a manual eta that i am switching to an auto, auto trans was rebuilt in 07, came back with a little more love. had the 5 speed rebuilt going to put that on the motor from the is when she is rebuilt

Super etas only came with 1988 325s.

I thought it was a super eta but with all the info ive been reading on other peoples threads and a couple of websties i am now much the wiser, thanks thetacoman edited the post

hi everyone new to r3vlimted, heres what ive been working on with my mate tony.



so been driving a 325is since 05 when i bought it as a daily driver until the starter craped out on me the end of 2011. the bemmer ran perfect without a hitch or hiccup till then, was slowly modifying it lowered it with bilstein sport springs and shocks, cross drilled rotors, ceramic pads, braided metal brake lines, new headers, cold air intake, straight pipes for the exhaust, new bushings , new bearings all round, even found some cheap recaros.
so discovered that there was front end damage that wasnt repaired to good so the car was never able to be alined correctly, so i bought another for $700 only it was a 4 door, told the guy i really wanted a 2door and wasnt interested, he told me that if no-one bought it that he would junk it, well the interior was cherry and i just couldnt let him junk it.
couple of years before i was given an 85 325e that didnt run and so we (tony and i) stripped it and rebuilt the engine, pictured above,got a few good parts of it as well.
