I've slacked on keeping this thread updated. The car is done and back to it's owner (who has decided to sell it, having a baby, etc etc)

Here is a BIG update showing the car done.

3.45 e36 LSD into the e21 small case

    Single intake high pressure pump

e36/e30 m42 radiator mount using cut down hockey pucks.

    Working on tucking the bumpers
    Rear

    trimmed bellow

    Front trimmed bellow

    tucked front bumper

    Installing e30 projector headlights

Outside and powered on it's own for the first time in awhile

    exhaust pics

Using modified OBD2 manifolds and downpipes

Starting to look like a real car again

Because we are using the m3 trans there is no speedo output. So....we swap to an electric speedo and tach installed in the original cluster.

    Random engine bay pics

    underside pics

    Pictures of the entire car

    Interior

    Some video

Great work as usual Jake. Always loved the E21 and now you've solved the lack of power issue. Don't know who the owner is, but he can bring it to VintageFest next month and get lots of eyeballs on it.

He is going to bring it if he is able Trent. He has decided to sell the car though.

Is there a sale thread anywhere?

Nice work. Love the attention to detail.

                      - using a tube to make the engine mounts is a great way to go. Wish I had done that with my e30m30 swap(we played around with the ida, but didn't happen). Very simple, and simple is good. Not to mention very strong in all directions. I hope other people that make engine swap mount take note of it. It should be the way to go IMHO.

                      - My first BMW was an e21. It's a handful with it's suspension design. Good luck with twice, almost 3 times the HP!
