So I've decided to start a build thread for my car in hopes of keeping me motivated since I know progress will be really slow :)
I've owned the car since '99 and have done moderate work to it (pics below) but nothing like an engine swap.
Last fall my timing belt snapped so I parked it and forgot about it until the spring when I finally had a little time to starting taking things apart.
Found 3 broken rocker arms so decided it was time for an engine upgrade :D
I haven't actually taken off the head to check for more damage but I can only assume it won't look pretty.
As much as I would love to do an S5x or something even crazier I'm going to stick with something simpler and cheaper the first go around and plan to swap in an M52.
I have a 3 year old and a 1 month old so progress will be slow. This post is more of a bookmark for right now until I get money saved up and have the time to work on the car. I also have no garage so I'm at the mercy of the weather and my friend who has a garage with a lift, among other things...
