Here are some pics of the engine i grabbed
the donor car

The engine as it sat in the 735i

Pulled it out and started taking off everything i didnt need

Ready to load up and take it home

yeah this engine was sitting for a good long wile before i came to it. I am thinking the car may have had an overheating issue cause ALL of the cooling parts looked relatively new.Leave a comment:

About a week ago i replaced my timing belt on my M20. I am still working on getting the fan to work on the stock temp harness. Im thinking it wont work unless i get a duel speed fan. The one i got is just one speed. but when it kicks on it seriously kicks down the temp.
As for my project i recently got a Ryan GMW front splitter. Getting the Lip soon. yes i know i did that backwards shush. But after that i will be completely be redoing my braking system. New German made brake disks ( im that picky ), caliper rebuild, Steel lines, new master cylinder with a bigger bore, and yes new brake fluid ATE super blue.I havent decided what pads to get yet. If you have any suggestions let me know. Please dont suggest something you havent actually used. I can read reviews as easily as you can.
As soon as my brakes are done im going to then focus on exterior parts more. Wheels body work and such.
If anyone has the rear black trim and rear side markers for late modle bumpers? I dont mind oxidation its simple enough to reverse. But i would like it to be mountable.
Also i ran into a guy who had an all aluminum radiator from ebay. A company called CX Racing made it. He said it works vary well. He said he had a e36 with a Mishimoto and he said it performed just as good. I am just wanting to know if anyone else has anything to say of this radiator that costs like $130.00. Is it any good or is it shit?Last edited by Bimmer_man; 08-31-2013, 12:32 AM.Leave a comment:

I can try I didn't like how it's mounted so I'm going to remove it and re install it using the stock parts and such. I scored a whole ac system for free from a buddy.Leave a comment:

thanks. Its going to be a slow build but in time she will be better than she was brand new. currently redoing the cooling system along with the timing belt. Ive put that off for way too long. Then on to a whole new braking system. And if i can get the ABS unit to work then ill keep the ABS but if its no good anymore then ill just be removing it. Dont want to but dosnt make any sense to me to keep a heavy non usable brick in the engine bay.Leave a comment:

Took a look under my car. Looked at the subframes, control arms, frame, body. and not a spec of rust. There are however a light surface is visible on the cars body panels where some deep scratches are. Nothing to be really concerned about seeing how those panels are going to be replaced anyway.Leave a comment:
