redoing some body work before paint.

but i got my parts back from paint. and now the chassis is getting done.



both front/rear valance will remain textured but also be gloss on top of that. same for the rocker panels.
also had the iS lip done the same way. filler blanks for fogs and ducts are not-textured but glossy. and middle grill piece is satin.

got all new euro grills and kidneys. gonna look hot.

Got a new steering wheel :) Need to get some washers as a spacer tomorrow so I can mount it..

turns out this was a counterfeit steering wheel. getting my $ back from ebay.

ordered a monte carlo from an authorized reseller.

i do really like it. i made some plastic spacers to use since my car was an airbag car.

but i decided against using them and i'm just waiting for the BMW spacer to show up so i can get it mounted.

i hate waiting on parts, have so many things coming in the mail right now. mostly just OEM parts from BMW to replace worn items.

Pasting this here for myself -

Still building but this is how my setup is going to be. Have nearly all the parts, starting the swap this fall.

1. Engine- 95 s50b30us bored over .5mm w/ overbore JE 11.5:1 Pistons + Stage2 P&P Head w/ Titanium Springs/Retainers + 3.5" Euro MAF + ARP Hardware. Motor will be completely rebuilt brand new.

2. Engine Wiring- e36m3 harness rewired for C101 plug

3. Drivetrain- G260 + swap brace + AKG mounts + BlunTech E30 Spec Stage 2 Kevlar Clutch Kit + stock flywheel machined to 11.5lbs

4. Shift Lever and Linkage- UUC short shifter + UUC DSSR twisted 10 degrees

5. Motor Mounts- AKG Mounts + E36 mount arms

6. Brake Booster- Havn't Decided Yet but debating switching to a wilwood or tilton pedal setup but probably just slide my stock setup over a tad to start with

7. Steering System- E30 Rack + Power Steering Delete Plate from Condor

8. Cooling System- Mishimoto Aluminum Radiator + Summit Racing Pusher Fan

9. Exhaust System- Ebay Stainless Steel Header + resonator instead of Catalytic Converter + Supersprint SS Exhaust

since i have the rear glass out as the car awaits paint. decided to port the parcel thing into my trunk for my lukebox. came out okay for eyeballing it, a little bit off.

also my drill caught fire on the 2nd hole, so i had to finish that one manually

just dropped off a bunch of parts for paint! 3 weeks car should be painted better than new :)

i've also ordered a ton of small parts that will be getting replaced on the car. nearly all of the exterior trim,
as well as the license plate lights, license plate bolts, pretty much everything on the outside.
and a few larger pieces on the inside, like a custom cupholder center console. should be very dialed exterior/interior wise for this upcoming summer.
then next fall it will be getting some custom built 24v action.

also i have some minor pics of some small work i've been doing, here i am using my ryanG splitter as a template to drill holes into my iS lip.
i didnt want to use the metal self-tapping screws that came with the splitter, so i purchased some 10-24 nylon machine screws with washers/nuts.
will be a more solid install this way while still allowing both materials to flex together. as you can see the hood paint is terrible, so excited for new paint job.



here are the holes drill, lip is getting painted next week, then i will bolt it all together, i'll be sure to post pics of the screws i used and how it turned out.
