Check out the link to my blog if you're interested in Volvo lip installation on your e30
Hello interweb, I am that E30 guy. I have always had a passion for cars of all kinds and for racing. I am now currently building a 1989 BMW 325i to spec class standards, and intend to run in my local NASA racing sanctioned events. Follow along as I do my best to chronicle this build, post some DIY stuff, and try not embarrass myself. I'm looking forward to learning all about these cars, and this class of racing. Comments, questions, and tips are all welcome.

Valance and such look good, but definitely a +1 on the flipped over Volvo lip. Looks a lot cleaner, imo.
Is the front getting painted at all, or stating primer/ flat black?
Keep up the progress.

Thanks to the positive guys, there's nothing you can do about forum trolls that just love to downtalk anything someone else does. Its a shame we cant all just be car lovers that like to share, and check out what other car lovers are doing. Travish325, you're a goon, get a life. @mccor023, Its not on the road yet, I've still got a ways to go on the project. I get my coating done by Hotshot Powder. Its a friend of mine from high school that has his own business. PM me if you'd like his contact info. Im assuming you are in Richmond as well?

Goon? lol. The car looks good, just saying the whole volvo upside down lip is like putting cheap ugly ricey parts on your car. If thats what you like then go ahead good for you. My opinion is that an OEM IS lip with maybe a Ryan G splitter looks way cleaner and much better.

Wow there is a lot of emotion tied up in this lip debate! I was worried when my IS lip got stolen that it would cost a fortune to replace considering how expensive people were saying that it was... Then I found out it was $130, and I think that is wicked cheap for a lip... I'm surprised that it is so necessary to find a cheaper alternative. What you have done with the Volvo lip looks fine to me, the only part that I find a bit weird is the flaring which doesn't suit the lines of the E30 IMO.
