Hello fellow R3v members...Been here for quite a few years and had the opportunity to meet quite a few members. This is truly a great resource for almost all info on E30's you would ever need..
i decided to start at the beginning because i have never done a build thread so here we go..
my 1st E30 I purchased out in Cali when i was playing ball/attending college in the bay. I was drawn to the e30 because of the classic look and the charisma of the entire car..and little did it know they would end up being my 1st love and the reason i have lost more than one lady in my life..lol

however this car once i graduated met an untimely demise. I moved back to TN after a series of unfortunate events and decided to bring my car back with me. However the 1st 2 months her ended up being its last 2 months as it was stolen and sold for scrap metal for 300 dollars at a junkyard

I could tell you i was a man and was just mad as FUCK (still am to this day).. but i would be lying if i told you a few tears weren't shed that week.
Well after that i could bring myself to get back into an e30 for quite some time so i settled on a crappy acura CL...:curse:
But the e30 kept calling my name.. so on February 14th (ironically enough) in a small town in NC i went to pick up my new baby

This car and the car next to it was the reason my lady of 3 months left me.. It was V-day and instead of taking her out i went to buy a car and spent the entire day in the Mtns carving up corners with my cousins S2k in tow..

Totally worth it.. she was a bitch anyway...:pimp:
I actually had it featured on a cover page of an auto photography website for about a week

well once again i had gotten this e30 close to what many would consider a clean example and was about to sell it.. when on Christmas night it also met its demise> I will take blame for that fuckup because my 2 rear tires were in terrible condition..and had recently replaced only the fronts...:hitler::hitler: an expensive but valuable lesson
With the help of RobertK i was able to get a bit of money for a part out and find a new one immediately
and that brings us to our story currently...enter the 92 Laguna green Vert

I leaped at the chance to pick up this baby at 1200 cash.. what i thought was a nice price ended up being a lemon...as i discovered a few weeks after purchase it had a blown headgasket...Now im not one to speculate..but i think the PO knew.. because not once did i let it overheat...ANYWHO.. before the head-gasket disaster.. the 1st thing i decided to do was reupholster the rear seats..because lets be honest......cant drop the top with seats that look like wolverine had a go at them...

and before i hear about ZOMG WHY 2 TONE!?!?!?!?!?!? i have heard it all before....
and ill stop talking now and let the pics do their job..

shout out to RobertK for taking this sucker by the horns and doing some serious work..

^mid derpface
and shitty iphone pics

goal is to get the fronts reupholstered within the next few weeks and do a few more small interior things before the weather gets cold..I also have a handle on a hardtop here and am gonna try and close the deal on that in the coming weeks as well.
I also need to get with Einstein57 on some GE coil advice :)
the goal is to have it complete by next spring/summer with new paint and complete interior restore. we will see..
