Pretty sure kamotors did or came close to it with just studs before he got a bimmerhead.

    Edit:
Page 54... 20psi and a lot of timing made about 470 on a stock motor with studs. If I do a tune not as aggressive I can hit around 400whp, so thats what I'm shooting for.

A bit of an update: clutch, headstuds, driveshaft and manifold came in. Just bought megasquirt so that should be hear shortly as well. Kam got the head gasket, water pump and other things and should be here soon. almost time to start getting the turbo together :)

started a topic Kamotors 318is m20 turbo build

    Kamotors 318is m20 turbo build

    A little background info.
As some of you know I was in the market for a 2 door late model and thats why I was selling the 327i turbo. Nobody was really liking the becasue racecar theme so I had a hard time selling it. A member on here (wont mention names, itll just start more drama on the interwebz, but $10 says he'll post in here) mentioned he just bout a 318i and was thinking about trading. said he bought it and put a few thousand into replacement parts but the motor hydrolocked. Im thinking to myself if the body in near perfect I wouldnt mind, another motor can be bought for dirt cheap.

Long story short we traded and the car wasnt anything like he explained. A few parts he mentioned but a majority wasnt. and since I'm in vegas going to school I wasnt there to do the deal. After it was done Kamotors posted pictures for me on facebook and I realized it was a shit deal and I got fucked over.

Anyways I'm not making a thread to complain about the deal. Its done now and I lost interest in the e30 at first, almost decided to part it out and use the money to turn my truck into a ram runner. But instead one of kam's friend had a m20 for sale and I bought that for a good price now it starts all over.

    Plans:
Fix all of the issues with the car (needs new paint job, fix rust in the trunk, get the trim to sit nicely, paints chipping badly, one of the mirrors are silver, etc..)

    M20b25
    arp headstuds
    tcd manifold
    Kinugawa turbo
    turbosmart wastegate
    60lb injectors
    megasquirt
    2.5" intercooler kit
    spec stage 3 clutch

My goal for this car is nothing less than 400hp. ;D

    now pictures
