not oring-ed, if the tune is good the o-rings arent 100% necessary. ON a good tune the M20 can take a LOT more abuse than people realize. I ran about 6 months on a holset H1c at over 20psi on a stock 24yr old headgasket...without issue. Only reason I switched out everything was because i snapped a rocker arm.

Now with the Myster-e head I daily drive on "low boost" which is 17, I've run once with the cam upgrade at 23psi and it was completely retarded and unusable so I cranked it down to 17psi where it stays.

Since most wont trust numbers from virtual dyno, I'm not going to quote any power numbers, but I do have a stop watch and a speedometer w/ a few key speeds GPS confirmed.

lets just go for this car will run 60-100mph in 5 seconds flat, thats more than reasonable on turbo E30 w/ stock motor. I can get a hair under 5 seconds no problem at 17psi.

The Subaru tuner here runs 60-100 in 4.5seconds at a bit under 500whp with full weight of around 3200lbs.

I'm sure you can make 400+ without orings but why not do it since the head is off and have done in case I want more power. Most ppl usually want to make more after a certain goal is reached.

because heads not off and engines already done now lol
I think of the head gasket as a fuse, I'd rather spend 6 hours and $90 on gaskets and belts than a new bottom end in case something goes significantly wrong with either fuel delivery/quality or tune.

Im on a pretty tight budget with being a full time student without a job, So I dont have money to build up the motor the "proper" way. My last turbo e30 had roughly 350 hp and was still a blast to drive.

Understood I was just suggesting cause I went through hell with my headgasket without orings and now with orings I feel like the seal is amazing. Not even 1 drop of oil is leaking from the headgasket even at 22 psi where I sometimes drive it at.

If or when the motor blows I'll get it rebuilt. Kinda want to do the 3.1 stroker kit from IE. But thats way down the road. for now a stock gasket and studs will work for the goal I want.

Not much of an update lately. Waiting on a shift linkage and wastegate relocated before dropping the motor in.

I plan on running the kinugawa 20g turbo. I Still need to get an Intercooler, turbo and a BOV and I should be done.

Every new turbo build I see makes me want to start piecing together one.

Also, those seats are Corbeau GTS II. Im pretty sure.
