Not much of an update, but I finally pulled the car out into the sun the other day for the first time since it was detailed.

Just for fun, heres a picture from december when I just picked up the car. Notice how crappy the hood looks from the paint shrink (and too be fair, from being dirty)

And heres how it looks now (the 325i is almost in the same spot too lol)

First off, I want to thank Chad Raskovich. http://raskysautodetailing.com/

He did an amazing job on my car, where do I begin. After being told by other places to go to a body shop and get stuff repainted, he absolutely transformed the paint. I am going to let the pictures do the talking. If you need a serious detail in the midwest, I strongly urge you to contact Chad.

Here is the main reason that made me reach out to chad. The paint on my rear wing and hood were pretty messed up. After seeing the car in person, Chad informed me this was known as "paint shrinkage".

As you can see, its really in poor shape. Thankfully, this is fixable with wetsanding.

And on the wing. Didnt get any 'during' photos.

As you can see in the last picture, we decided the decklid could use some help too. Everything except for the paint chip was able to be corrected, this was the worst spot on the trunk.

That covers most of the spots that needed wetsanding. Now here are 50/50s for the rest of the car. This paint was neglected, I didnt think it was as bad as it was.

Unfortunately, the sun wasnt out when I picked her up. Just glad it didnt rain!

To say I'm pleased is quite an understatement. :)

paint correction! just be careful not to burn through the color coat. pretty easy to do on an old paint job.

what kind of scissor lift is that? been holding out for 2 or 4 poster but I'm thinking scissor will work for me..
