      Its update time!

Look at this dirty mess... The first thing we needed to do was get it running right by fixing what was going on under the hood, look at this mess... The radiator looks like it came off a ford Mustang & the overflow tank on the bottom right has a Maglight lens for a cap...

I started by draining the old gas, replacing the plugs and checking the injectors. When i pulled the fuel rail, the o-rings on the injectors fell into the cylinders... They didn't have the pintle caps holding them on!! I had to bust out the vacume cleaner and suck them out after pulling the intake manifold.

While I was at it I replaced all the hoses, gaskets, clips, along with getting OBD2 knock sensors from John aka Forced_firebird. I sent out the injectors to get balanced and blueprinted at Witchunter Performance.

John also rebuilt the Vanos for me, and came by with some specialized tools to help with the removal and reinstallation. WOT-TECH FTW!

While waiting for the injectors, i took the time to clean up the Valve cover and shoot it with some crinkle black. Its a temporary solution that should help clean up the engine bay a bit.

Once the Injectors arrived, it was time to put it all back together.
Look at that shiny valve-train. According to the previous owner, he recently rebuilt the head, and assembled it with a Cometic gasket and ARP head studs.

      Nice and clean..

I ended up installing a new OEM radiator, hoses and late model overflow tank which really cleaned up the engine bay.
