I've run my turbo down to 7psi without creep and its a small turbo that spools easy. So i doubt its a manifold issue

Ill check them for oil, I think its the MBC/ they way its routed or a bad wastegate spring.

The way the external wastegae is setup is kinda between these two where is not at a perfect 90 degree angle.

See if your vac lines are filled with oil or if the MBC itself is filled with oil.
Worst case is that your welded WG provisional, being at a 90 degree angle, isn't channeling enough gases through it when the WG opens.

I know Kam's is the same design.. but the less boost you run, the more gasses your wastegate has to worry about bleeding.
And you're hitting 18psi at full creep, which is what Kam runs as usual.

Im thinking its either they way I have my boost controller setup, or IronFreak suggested that it may be a bad wastegate spring.

Interested to see what the resolution is. I'm running less than half that amount of boost, but I'm having a similar problem.

So after Kamotors looked over the power curve of my Gt35 and his old one he found that the boost issues experienced were causing a loss of mid range. Intresting part is mine is making a good amount more torque than his old setup.

Mine is peaking at 18-19psi in 2nd gear, going to bypass the boost controller and see what the problem is.

Also here is a virtual dyno at 15psi, with and without meth. Stock cam really falls on its face after 5k.

And where it all started, automatic 7psi virtual dyno from last year.

I get the afr to a constant 11.8, maybe 11.5 at peak, then timing, then touch up afr again.

I have a 13psi spring in the wastegate currently, will chase the boost spiking issues. Some more tuning, a bigger meth injector, more timing and it should be even faster.

Carpets were also shampooed and gauges were remounted.

Boost rising to around 18psi at 7k. Missing around 8 degrees of timing in boost to get everything dialed in. Should see a big increase in power once we get it tuned better. Hopefully can get some more torque out of it.

Got around to mocking up the grill finally, makes me happy that they do fit the fiberglass pretty well.

    Thanks guys

Lengthened and got another mount to the subframe for the exhaust and also changed out the dead driveshaft. NO MORE CLUNKING
Also rewired the gauges into a new switch, sense I am able to see my AFR now I did a second gear pull at 13psi. Its globs faster than more old setup already and at less boost. I cant even imagine it at 18-20psi.

    Back in the garage.

The flares on flares has really grown on me. I really would love to own a turbo m20 one day.
