A car that brings back good memories, with boosted spirits. My '88 325is
You could easily make one similar to the ones I made. But instead of the bolts being exposed you could use two panels sandwiched together (something I thought about doing to hide that top bolt). The first thin panel would bolt to the car with flat-top, recessed bolts and then adhesive glue another thin (decorative) panel on top of that hiding the mounting hardware.
Im taking the front strut sleeves and knuckles to a welder on Friday then I'll be personally installing them throughout the weekend. While I'm in there Im planning to degrease, chemically strip, clean and paint the subframe, control arms, axels and differential as well as install new bushings throughout. I really want to powdercoat everything underneath but it's my DD for now so it needs to be drivable by Monday. Im currently looking for a used truck so I can park the e30 and really tear through it without having to worry about time constraints.
I'll post pics of the install process and ride height when they're in.
Looking forward to seeing pics afterwards! What made you decide to go with the un-welded kit?

The the extra $420 was what kept me from getting it pre-welded. Even though $300 of that is refunded to you, it's just a ridiculous amount of money for a core charge. But I guess they have to do that because they've had bad luck with customers not returning their cores... and I can get them welded for less than $50 here, would be free if I owned a welder.
