    My Slow Build Thread - '89 325i

Hello - Wanted to document my build here on R3V. Thank you R3V for such a great resource, thank you the members here. Long live E30!

Got her on July 1, 2014. Windows all torned out (PO didn't know E30, tried to pull all window regulators) and messed up. It drains battery... I'm changing the alternator. Paint is awful, but I don't care. It drives like a champ. I'm a proud owner! Will keep updating this thread.

Noticed this buildup when I took the alternator out. Comment problem I guess? Suggestion on DIY? Best material and how to's?

Leaky PS lines/reservoir is a common issue. Easy fix, yank out the old and replace with new.

You can follow the PS line/reservoir parts of the E36 rack DIY for steps/pics: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=66247

Get new reservoir/lines from your favorite vendor. I used Pelican Parts when I replaced yours but Blunttech, ECS, etc. would all fit the bill.

              Window How To

Question guys - for the life of me, I can't figure out how to put the window regulator back. Pic below is front passenger. How do I put this thing back? FYI... I got the car w/ the windows taken apart, so I never knew how it was before. Thx, all.

Also, I got a used alternator from a member here, put it on, and got a 13.71v reading at idle and at 2k RPM... so I might rule out the regulator, but will keep monitoring the battery.
