Picked up some genuine Recaro SR3's on eBay for $500. Idea is to get the whole interior re-trimmed to match, however these have cleaned up pretty nicely, so I'll run them for a while. Just need some Massive seat rails now.

To clean I first vacuumed all the dog hair and crap off them, then got some interior cloth cleaning spray > sprayed a small area > agitated with a small brush > wiped off with a microfibre cloth > repeated until it looked semi ok.

Keep in mind the lighting is different in the after pic, I'm still really happy. Just going to get some fabric tape to cover the hole.

Picked up a second fuel pump, Bosch 044, to run inline in parallel with the Walbro 255 intank. This will handle up to ~700hp when tied in with a -6 fuel line and my 1150cc injectors.

...also the overall diameter of the Clio booster please. I'm doing an m50 swap into an E24 and its even tighter than an E30 to the intake. Many thanks...

Could you please tell me the part number on that Renault Clio booster? I really need one even though its going to be a PITA to source one from the states...

Spent some time last week clearing a few spots of rust under the trunk seal. It was first sanded off, cleaned, primed and painted, then the seal was put back on top.

I also bought a polisher and went over the bonnet, roof and trunk. Got the majority of swirls out, while a few deeper scratches remained. I was happy with it given it was my first go with a polisher.

I was also looking at getting a front/rear strut brace and front/rear sway bar from Ultra Racing. A lot cheaper than buying from the US.

We research, design, test & manufacture high quality chassis strengthening bars to cater for all kinds of vehicles.

In the spirit of painting all old stuff black to make it look new again, today I did this with the Clio booster.

It came to me with bubbled paint and rust down the front, where I can only assume boiling hot brake fluid had leaked out of (mental note - make sure this seals properly on my car).

I bought some wirebrush drill bits and got to work removing the bubbled paint and surface rust:

Picked up a Clio brake booster which is tiny! This will free up a lot of room where the turbo and dump pipe will go.

Here's some pics I found online of how it'll be moved across on the firewall, and another size comparison next to the stock booster.

I've been having a think about wheel/tyre choices and reckon I might try running the TRM C1s 15x8 +20 with 225/45/15 semi slick.

Hopefully this will give some sort of traction and clearance for bigger brakes.

Edit: Before I buy new wheels though, I'll see how much traction I get on 225s with my current rims and go from there!

Had a go at freshening up the rear parcel shelf today.

Picked up a can of vinyl and fabric paint for the shelf and used some left over bumper paint for the plastic bits.

Yeah should sound good hopefully. Also looking for a stroker crank to make it a 2.2-2.3L. The head will also be modified to run on the 'big' cam lobe side all the time, so it'll sound pretty mean on idle, nice and lumpy.

Picked up a Turbosmart Race Port 52mm blow off valve for a great price:

I got to see this car with a vvl head on the sr and it's just gnarly, probably one of my favorite setups.

New radiator fan came in the mail. It's a Davies Craig 16" Thermatic 12v, rated at 2120 CFM.

Boost gauge is on the way, and I'm still working out what fittings I need for the oil pressure and water temp gauges.
