    Guys guys guys.....

    I'm stuck.

The RRC body is swiss cheese, so it's going bye bye. The frame is 100% in tact, with poly errywhere, lifted, etc....it's set up right.

I'm picking up a Series 3, 109 2 door pickup.....it needs a frame, so, logically, the Series body will replace the RRC body and I'll have a set up, lifted, coil spring, Series 3 109 truck.

    Yay.

NOW.....what to power it with? I'm totally stuck. I have at my disposal two VERY different options, listed below: Both options I have the entire vehicle to pull from, so swapping will be straight forward.

    Option #1:
M21D24. It will bolt right into the bellhousing on the Rover now (remember, it's a M20 BH from when the truck was M52'd) Diesel is always cool. I know all the ins and outs to the VE injection pumps now, and how to make big power. Cons, I'll have to rebuild EVERYTHING. Engine, turbo, IP, etc.....

    Option #2:
M70B50. I'm picking up a 89 750iL on Saturday. I could jam the entire engine -> trans in....the caveat would be figuring out if the output on the 4hp22 will bolt onto the 4hp24...and thus the transfer case. It should, as the cases for the 4hp22 and 4hp24 are the same. Otherwise, everything will be straight forward and I have access to multiples of the parts required to run this engine.

    Thoughts?

Probably a Rover. You have a nack for unreliable British cars.

So.....technically I guess you can say the M70 was born from two M20s mated together....called the M33 and M66....
