Reminds me so much of my experience with buying my E30.

No matter how hard we tried, the car wouldn't turn over. I tried replacing the fuel pump, fuel filter, idle control, and different other things people recommended. Nothing worked.

For a few weeks, I tried different things to try to make her run again, and finally one day I found the problem!! :D. I was disconnecting the battery one day a saw that the negative post had a cable that run from it. I removed the side trunk carpeting and saw that the cable had been cut and reconnected with a plastic squeeze clamp... :-|. I inspected it and the two sides of the cable had little to no connection. I soldered it together and when I went to turn her over, she started no problem!! :firehop:
