So my friday morning was fucked up.
Didn't get my parts that I was suppose to get in the morning so
I had nothing to work on. Thought I'd have some fun with the widebody idea.
climbed upstairs in our storage and brought some fiberglass fenders down.
Tried ford escort mk2 bda fenders
what it looks on mk2 escort
Then I tried some e36 m3 gtr fenders we did 10 years back with my dad for our rallycross car
I was surprised how little the body details had been changed in e36 compared to e30 :O

So last week I bought some aluminum tube for the intake runners :)
Yesterday, had finally time to check measure the new pistons.
Had to take the ix block out from the chassis and take it into machine shop. m20b20 block will so the job until ix block is rebuilt.
ix block out, b20 goes in.
had some time to test how m10 fits the stock tranny. it's going to be the next setup after m20 shits the bed.

m10 can be stroked up to 2.75l wit custom 98mm crankshaft.
Also, ford v8 cylinder head can be used to get 16-valve twincam head on it.
wasn't the downsizing the fashion in these days? replace the discplacement loss with the turbo ;)
I can tell you that ix is much faster on the track with turbo m10 than NA m20. even if it would be an turbo m20, it would lose to turbo m10 on handling. car has better weight ratio with it.
