There is no ews delete. There is an ews4 emulator that might work, but otherwise you have to do it the same way as the imitator. That mean full harness swap and all neccesary modules.

Deleting dtcs is easy, you just zero out the type code (requires a dme flash). But your first and main problem is getting around EWS.

    Hi guys,

    Congrats on the project!

We have the complete n54 engine and e30 suitable for swap… But our swap intends to be a lot easier without swapping body harness of 335i but only the engine harness.

So my question is does anybody know how to delete ignition code, ABS on the n54 ECU… so that only car would be able to start with an e30 key and to remove all “unnecessary” features that we don’t need in E30.

I am new on the forum and don’t really know where to ask this so sorry if post in your thread is not welcome

    Thanks

Not everyone knows that the last 7 are unique ;)
That would indeed suck if that was the case! Would be hard to get euro parts!

I had no clue about the whole letter in the vin after 86 thing you mentioned! That's cool. All I know is, I didn't a shotty job on blurring hahaha

Hmmm this is interesting. Is that a letter in your VIN? BMW started using letters for the production number in 1989. 323i ended production in 1986. Is that a BMW VIN or a new VIN was issued when the car was federalized?

It only went that fast because I knew what I was looking for, my first attempt was around 8 hours, but I also chopped the complete harness down to the essentials for modules, and start up.

This harness with have eventual goals to utilize some features, for an example, keeping the ABS modules, and sensor leads intact for a future project.

It was my second time going through a 335i body harness, this took me about an hour and change. Today ill add modules, and hopefully get a better description of whats going on.

    Another small peek here...

I'll make sense of this tomorrow with modules and most everything needed for start,
but this is the body harness of a 2008 335i, this harness is what will be swapped into the E30.

So far so good, next step is getting the gas tank mounted in the correct position,
subframes should fly up quickly and we can start looking at engine bay fitment.
