Could you post a pic of your car looking straight at it, low from the back? Im looking at wheels the same size as yours, and im trying to see how they fit in. Plus im torn between 8 or 9 inch wide wheels so it would cool to see how yours look width wise. Did you need to do any fender rolling once lowered? -
Small update. I just got the windows tinted this weekend with 20% tint.

Top notch. Very solid construction. If you don't know much about Fortune Auto, do some research. They hand build every ordered set of coilovers. It takes close to 6 weeks to get them after being ordered, but I have absolutely zero negative things to say. They also shock dyno each one to ensure quality. I had a bit of fun on an off-ramp this morning and I didn't feel like I was at the limit at all. It's very smooth and comfortable feeling to be able to drive every day at full soft. I want to play with the dampening to see how it feels.Leave a comment:

Hows the quality of the coils?
Im planning to sell my springs and struts and move on to the big boys before my turbo set up.Leave a comment:

Finally an update! After being in Denver for 6 weeks on business, I was able to install the coilovers, wheels, brakes, and wheel studs this past weekend. I regret not taking pictures throughout the process, but I also hate stopping and picking up my phone with dirty hands.
The Fortune Auto coilovers are absolutely amazing. You can go pretty low while keeping the travel in the shocks. I love the way how everything turned out. I have a friend that was able to weld the lower coilover sleeves for me. It was a bit intimidating at first when I learned that this needed to be done with coilovers. It actually wasn't that difficult and installation was very straightforward. The most time consuming part was perfecting the ride height. One complaint is that the rear is at the absolute lowest setting. I had to remove the adjusting collars to even get it this low.

Next on my list is sourcing an s52 and piecing together the swap.

I got the tires mounted and the coilovers welded. Next step is to put everything on the car and see how it fits.

Here's what I'm doing this weekend. I just had the fenders rolled. I'm about to take off the front suspension and have the struts cut and the coilovers welded. Then putting on the wheels and tires.

Small update. Finally got the Fortune Auto Coilovers in the mail. They are absolutely gorgeous. I'm not really in a huge rush to put them on as it'll be look silly slammed on bottle caps. I'll be spending 6 weeks in Denver this summer so my car will be spending that time with my Dad. I'll take apart the suspension before I leave and have him get them welded up for me.

Also, I finally got my Nardi Deep Corn 350mm steering wheel in the mail and installed that today. It looks gorgeous as well. One complaint is that it's a stretch to hit the turn signals and wiper blade arms but I can live with that.

I don't know how much I'll be getting done the rest of the summer. Hopefully the suspension will be on and then I'll find some decent wheels to throw on there before I get some that are more permanent. The plan is to buy a motor in the September timeframe. Anyone selling one soon?Leave a comment:

Welp, as I said in the original post, this will be slow. I've only done some small things in the past month. Right now I'm just driving it to work everyday and saving on gas. I'm still waiting on the Fortune Auto coilovers to arrive.
I changed out the window switch on the passenger side.
About a week ago, I was getting a very loud screech from the rear end. I was worried it was something in the diff. Quickly learned that it was coming from the passenger rear wheel. Took off the wheel and this feel on the ground.

Seems that this shield rusted all the way through and fell in between the wheel and the rotor. Easy fix.
Also placed an order for a Nardi woodgrain steering wheel, hub, and shift knob. Still waiting on the steering wheel as it was backordered.

My timeline for the motor was pushed up quite a bit as it'll look like I'll have the extra funds for it. Hopefully I'll be able to find an S52 in September or October.Leave a comment:

Nahh the s52 isn't too much for the car at autox. It is a blast. You won't regret it.Leave a comment:

Oh yea? I'm a little worried that it might be too much power for an autocross car. Maybe I'm just used to driving that little civic in autocross. Of course I don't plan on it being a competitive autocross car, and will merely take it there just for fun and learn how to drive it on the edge.Leave a comment:
