I'm normally an Audi/vw guy but I figured I would try something new. I picked this up on eBay. The current plan is something nice, not quite show quality but clean with a little power. The current plan for the drivetrain is the 2.7 eta bottom end with a 731 head ported and polished with ITBs and megasquirt. For now my main goal is to assess and fix all of the rust problems and then work the rest out.


Got the car last Wednesday and began tearing it apart last weekend.



Now I'm just stripping the body down to assess the extent of the rust.

Santorin blue coupe

Tore the car apart a little more. Got most of the interior gutted and more of the engine bay. Engine is ready to come apart and go to the engine shop.

I found a 731 head that is on its way.

I found out how much rust is on the floor and I need to start grinding and cutting so I can get back to good metal before the repairs begin.
