    1993 325iC build MI

    Hello fellow E30 enthusiasts,
I found this car on Autotrader in February 2015 and bought it unseen.
What attracted me was the documented mileage of 79K, the fact that it was built in the last week of production (15Dec92) and completion of major mechanical work (intake manifold gasket, guibo, timing belt, brakes, tires, slave cylinder, struts, rack and pinion, water pump) since 2013.
It had been a Connecticut car for most of it's life and had one nice repaint around 2008 in the original color of Brilliantrot. No rust to speak of except minor bubbles in front of the left rear wheel. The interior needed most of the work - covers and a thorough cleaning.
The car is all original except for the radio.
It was shipped from Manhattan to Michigan on 2Feb15.
First order of action was a new tool kit including foam and seat removal.
    Stay tuned.

Looks like a clean little 'vert you have there. Does the power top still work?

Thanks. Unfortunately the power top is broken at the drive cam like most. It's missing the boot cylinder also. I just cut out the 2 mangled boot seal gutter sections and welded new metal into place.

Wow, that's a gnarly failure. I've never seen it tear like that before. Are you going to try and repair the power system or go to manual?

I think the power top is near the bottom of my list at the moment. First I need a new catback muffler (any suggestions?), reglue the top cover (or replace), repair a ripped front sway bar mount (Garagistic repair kit on the way) and repair a PS leak. Also a nice set of wheels is on the list. Car came with bottle caps and I bought a set of basketweaves but it still looks to homey for me....

And pictures from seat upholstery. What a job - many Winter hours in the basement. The kit is from Autocustomleather. Not perfect but excellent quality for the price and great color match. I highly recommend it.

Repaired the front sway bar support mount with a Garagistic kit. The mount was completely gone.....
