E30 Limited-Slip Diff Gear ratio swap

I have an e30 3.73 LSD and I'm looking for a longer ratio for lower rpms and instead of buying a new diff such as 3.07 or 3.15 can I just swap one of those ring gears in my diff? If so is there anything else I need to swap also?

You need to change out the pinion gear as well (include a new crush ring).

Then you will also need to reconfigure your side-cover shims. (not to mention it's a good time to replace the bearings and seals)

**Also, it may be best to put this in the transmission/diff section.

If you're looking to go with the cheap route, buy a different diff. In the long run it will cost you less and it is much easier. If you want to go the better route, do the full diff rebuild while you're swapping the ring and pinion.
