So about a month ago I checked my oil, and saw my head gasket was taking a shot. So I replaced the thermostat and the water pump in hopes I would slow down the process... ya right. Blew about 4 days ago. Took off the head.. and it's cracked in 4 spots:( I can't find one locally, :so I'm going to ship it out and have it welded.sigpic

I'll take some pictures of the head here soon, but I'm thinking since I'm already there. Just re seal the whole thing. It's at about 270k on the clock right now. And replace the rear subframe and trailing arm bushings since the car is down for about another week.

The head came back from the shop today. All welded up and resurfaced and new valve guides.

Took a picture before I clean it. The head is now on, and waiting for a chain tensioner as well as one more hose for the mess under the intake and it should be good. Removed the ac condenser and bracket as well
