    Project Summer Prep

Hey guys, as my ordered parts finally begin to arrive, it's time to start my project for summer preparation on my 1991 318is. Starting with a solid car to work on, right now my current focus is on reinforcement, general maintenance, and some goodies here and there when I have the available funds.
My first order of parts was from Garagistic. Huge shoutout to the hookup with the e30 parts, these are gonna get me on track from having the car in shape for the road. For any e30 needs, visit http://garagistic.com/index.php to find quality parts that suit what your looking for. Garagistic offers reasonable prices, shipping, and delivery speed.
As more parts come in and I find time to install all of these, i'll update the thread showing progress, and reviewing installation difficulty and product quality.

So, here's what i'll be doing my work on

This is a 1991 318is coupe, brilliantrot red. Sitting on CR7 staggered wheels.

Here's the collection of Garagistic parts i recieved a couple days ago. Included were standard 95a subframe bushings, z3 1.9 OEM short shift, and a complete chassis reinforcement kit. Along with these, a Garagistic sticker was included so I can represent the brand when i drive the e30

Currently, my subframe bushings are sloppy, clunking in the rear when I shift hard. These harder bushings should eliminate the loose rear end once installed. The overall stiffness of the chassis is not to my liking, so once the reinforcement kit is welded on, handling should be better and much stiffer.
Later this week, once i find time to install all of these I'll keep you guys updated on my progress! Also, all of these products can be found on the included website link, check it out!

It seems like you really like garagistic. Really good looking car, but it kind of read like an infomercial. What are your plans? Just a nice, reliable summer ride?

Haha alright thanks for letting me know lol I'll stop writing like that. And thanks man, for now that's what I'm looking for just reliability so I have something fun to drive all summer. With that said, there are some extras here and there I'm looking to do, to make the car that much more enjoyable and better for skids lol.

        More Parts

Alright, finally some more of my needed parts came in today. Due to some leaks here and there in the e30 I decided to order a couple gaskets from Pelican Parts. I already cant wait to put them in and get the car a couple steps closer to being ready for the road again.

The first thing I got was a lower oil pan gasket. My old one I took out was probably 20 years old and was leaking pretty badly. Also, not pictured, I bought an upper oil pan gasket which ill put in later down the road since it'll require a little more time and effort to put that one in.

The last thing I bought was a valve cover gasket. I did do this gasket already earlier the past summer, but never did the spark plug tube seals with it. Those are leaking badly now, and since I had to take it off anyways I figured i'd just buy the set and do it all at once, again.

Ill update the thread tomorrow after I put the oil pan and valve cover gasket on!

Infomercial. Waiting for a phone number to scroll across the screen.

            Do you wear a toupee?

            Super looking car.

Are they that bad? Guess i'll have to wait and see the aftermath once I start it up and drive it again.
