First car, First build thread 89 325i

Hey guys, my name is Derek Stanelle, I'm 19, and I live in Yakima,Wa. I live on my own with my girlfriend and don't have money up the ass. So after saving up for what seemed like forever, I bought this car back in july of 2015, an 89 325i.

I picked it up in seattle from a college kid with another e30, it had fresh-ish paint, but it was missing a front spoiler, missing rear spoiler, broken seats, leaking oil, bald tires ect. But regardless it would be a great platform for my first build.

Since then iv mostly been completing the car, so front spoiler, IS rear spoiler, sport seats, premium sound package, and some BBS RX's

Power wise I have a mark D chip, m50 injectors, exhaust, cold air intake (yes with heat sheilds) and 3.73 lsd. My plans are to boost it as soon as I get all my turbo parts together. Goana run ms2, holset hx35, 10psi, arps, and goetze head gasket. Just wanting a quick daily driver right now.

Please feel free to ask any questions and share opinions, this is my first e30 and first turbo build so I'm sure there is a ton to learn and I'd greatly appreciate your critisizm. Il keep this thread updated as much as possible. If I'm slacking, please bug me to stay motivated!

So I blew my head gasket and decided to just start replacing shit, also painting my intake and valve cover.

        head reassembly

ARP's and head gasket on, also a generous amount of copper gasket spray

also replaced my engine mounts while I was in there, made a huge difference on my car shaking when idling, both were torn in half and my engine was shifted over about 5 inches from where it was supposed to sit :???:

        getting very close

all back together! took it in to the detail shop to clean up the engine bay, loving how the white on red looks
