Well that's a good sign at least. I can't remember where I read it, but I remember reading somewhere that the b10 BT manifolds and T25 turbos are actually slimmer than the m106 manifold and the kkk k27, which we know fit. I have an m106 turbo kit already, so I'll be able to measure the widths of both setups and compare them in a couple days when my b10 BT stuff arrives.

They definitely might. Does an m3 have more frame rail clearance? Here's an m3 with a full B10 biturbo engine:

Granted, he doesn't mention how much modification it took. It looks like he is running the factory manifolds and turbos though

I can almost guarantee they're going to interfere with the frame rail

fitting those turbos will be a challenge though. I suggest having custom motor mounts made cause your only gonna be able to use drive side of what ever set of mounts you get.

Thanks Brandon! I've been following your B6 3.5 build, its a huge inspiration. I'll be making custom motor mounts for sure. Fitment of 2 bottom mount turbos is going to be interesting to say the least..

    2mAn, the part numbers are:
    Covering left- 51461916979
    Covering right- 51461916980
    They're super cheap!

    [QUOTE=bruner;4625377]

3/25/16: Made a trip down to seattle to pick this guy up. Mint grey rear parcel shelf from an 84. The 84 and 85’s had no 3rd bake light and used a different style rear seatbelt, so the rear parcel shelf is completely flat instead of having the raised edges like 86+ e30s. I think it looks wayyyyy cleaner. Pic of my tan rear parcel shelf from my 87 for comparison.

    /QUOTE]

Whats the part # of the 84/85 Seat belt pieces that go through the parcel shelf? Mine are missing on mine and I used the later pieces and it looked like shit.

Generally, telling someone they look 12 is a bad thing. However, those pics are almost all 3 years old and I did look young. Great observations

This is absolutely true. Once I get the rear suspension under it, I'll be working on dialing everything in. I cant believe I waited so long to do a 5spd swap. Soon she will have an m30 mated to a g265/6

You work really fast, but where did you get the alpina parts?
Also, was that a set of black houndstooth door cards I saw in one post?
    jm

Yes, I picked up a set of anthrazite houndstooth door cards and rear seat for FREE off of craigslist about a month ago. I have been cleaning them up and they are almost ready to go into the car. I've always wanted a houndstooth interior.

Is your B10 Biturbo complete motor?
I actually picked it all up off of Craigslist about a week ago. Not a complete motor:( I only was able to buy the: intake manifold, fuel rail w/ injectors, turbo manifolds and a pair of Garrett T25 turbos that are NOT the original turbos alpina used, but are very similar in size (I'll post up the specs of these when everything arrives in a couple days.) I plan to build an m30 over the summer for boost with all modern parts, and tune everything with megasquirt.

It'll be an upgraded, more modern version of the b10 biturbo engine, since I didn't get the whole engine.
