E30 Pull Straps - I have a race car now

    Hey everyone!

Just quickly sharing a little something I did. I've recently been having issues with my drivers side door breaking the interior door handles. The door mechanism is just pretty tight and I really dont have a patience to tear it apart and try to adjust it. I decided to make fun of the situation and make some pull straps. They didnt come out that bad and they work so I'll keep them around for a little while.

Just figured I would share the results! If I ever make some more I'll probably end up picking some better materials. I just grabbed what I could make something up with what I found at hobby lobby.

I would also like to report that with the weight reduction I have gained +60 hp and I have a race car now. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I don't even own this car anymore, but I'm too lazy to change the picture.

Pack up your Porsche and get out.
      Nice innovative fix you created!

No obnoxious red, no care. :)

I bet you may just need to grease up/adjust the mechanisms in the doors, that's a lot more effort than normal.

What parts from my Porsche will fit on my e30?

I thought about red, but hobby lobby only had black, off white, and pink. Maybe next time.

But you might be right. When i pull the strap it feels like I hit a stopping point, but the door hasent released. I pull a little harder and it finally opens up. I have already changed out that mechanism because I had problems with the locks when I first purchased the car and its part of the reason why I dont feel like messing with it again. Its hard to reach an arm up there and whatnot.

If you think E30s locks are annoying you should try E34s!
