Interested to see how the dashboard comes out.

Have you driven the car with the M54? How do you like it?

I drove the car for almost 150 miles before I started my project.
The M54 is a beautiful engine IMO, it just makes you giggle inside when you drive it in an e30 chassis. The M54 only revs to 6.5k rpms so it isn't anything crazy, but once you put it in 2nd gear it just punches you in the mouth, throwing you to the back of your seat and its so fun to drive. The M54's lower end power is great because I mainly do city driving, so the power band is more usable for my situation cause I'm rarely in high gears doing crazy pulls. But for me the M54 is more than enough, it awakens the e30 chassis and is a super fun car to drive. Especially when I learn how to utilize the E30 on the track, man it's gonna be fun:devil:

        Audio System

        Hey R3V,
since I have my interior basically completely dismantled, I started to make a list of stereo upgrades for the vert.
        Head unit: Kenwood Excelon KDC
Subs: 2 8in Alpine Type R with German audio specialities box and mod
        Amp:Pioneer GM-8601
        Speakers & tweeters: need recommendation
I'm looking for good sound that isn't the top of the line and won't break my bank, yes audio is very important to me but so is drive ability.

Hey guys looking into new wheels and tires because the bottle caps are not cutting it.
The wheels are going to be ESM 002r but idk what size
Either 16x9 or 17x8.5 both with 4x100 and 73.1 bore
I heard the ride can be kind of rough on 17's due to less tire between the rim and road, but the look great IMO.
So which would you chose and why?

I have 16x8 esm's with 215/45/16. I like to see alittle more tire but still have some height of the car with the larger tires with also filling in the wheel wheel, mine is also late model and had them early model before that.

The biggest difference is the tranducer. That thing is AMAZING. The E34 woofers are awesome- I will probably use the same thing in my e36 kickpanels. But the biggest plus is adding the transducer.

What is your rear fill setup? Same as the front?

I chose the Planet Audio amp due to my older brother, he is familiar and recommends the brand, the amp provides more than enough power, great price and size, 5 channel and will work with everything I need.

I chose the Rockford based on your transducer post, I looked up a similar amp to yours and found the Rockford for a good price and provides everything I need

I didn't not know they were shutting down, the website is still up and I can still order stuff so now I'm confused lol.

Been away for a while. Ordered all of the stereo parts except for the Rockford Amp, while I was cleaning out my trunk I stumbled upon this amp and I think it should be more than enough to power a single transducer. Dash will be installed this weekend hopefully, and stereo parts should arrive next week!

Jacked the car up today to see what I was working with. Found leaking from the Oil pan, and the pan is not cracked from being so low. Also found leaking from the transmission, neither of the leaks are anywhere near bad, about a drop per month lol. Pictures below help tell the story

That is a pretty cool old amp but you may have trouble getting it wired up properly to power a single driver. Amps don't tend to do well with not all channels powered. I can't explain the science behind it but you will end up running only 2 of the 4 channels of that amp (bridged) so the other 2 channels won't have a load.
