Thank you for the kind words.

If you ever have any questions on how to do it, feel free to PM me. I have more pics and know the location of just about every single spot weld on the cars tail.

Also do you have a doner vehicle without rust/the OEM tail piece?

It took me 3 months to find a panel. Everybody is looking for them, to the point where rusty ones are for sale.

I have a pic of the part number on my phone...

Just to let you know how scarce they are there is only TWO new units in the entire Continental U.S/Germany. (As I last checked about two months ago)

I only found mine because I was told by the 3rd dealership I called that half way through they're production they switched part numbers to a different one and thus hid a few.

Seriously it's a really rare piece.

The turbo compressor is an older T4, and the exhaust housing sizing appears to be .63.
Should spool pretty quick and support around 350hp. I ran one on my M10 years ago and it worked decent.

Got tired of hearing tons of noise and whining sounds from my trans, decided to drop it and split the case to rebuild it

Is it hard to put the case back on?

Haven't got there, but I can't imagine it would be, least not especially.

I just stood it on it's tail in a 20 ton press and supported each side with a jack-stand on the slave attaching points then pressed the case out..

                  Wasn't a big deal, didn't need a BMW tool.

Not that you can find g260 tools/small parts anyway..

They're too inexpensive and still fairly robust. Give it 10 years and there'll be a market for rebuilding them.

UPDATE! Trans has been back in the car, drives about the same, 3rd may still give me a little hassle but oh well.. and it still leaks, no matter how many times I try to reseal it..

Anyway, just about to finish up ordering all the turbo parts. Already have a MSPNP2, EBC Solenoid, MTX Wideband 02 controller, piping, metal throttle body, ect.

Just need injectors, plugs, ARP head-studs and a wastegate! (Injectors and ARP-head studs are now on their way!)
