I gotta say thank you for this particular post. I recently had an autocross test and tune session, lots of seat time. First half of the day was one direction, second half reverse course. During afternoon course my car stuttered and the check engine light came on. Got home and had a tough time running the stomp test. After about 15 tries finally got P1216 for TPS sensor. Replaced the throttle body with a spare I had, but same issue. P1216 again. Searched R3V and found this post, then inspected my TPS connector. One wire broken, just like yours.
I tried de-pinning the plug so I could repair it, but couldnt get the pins to release from the connector. Ended up buying a generic connector and spliced it in.

So we had another autocross back in November, yet somehow I forgot to update the thread with info and pics. I finished 16th overall out of 48 which is pretty damn good for me considering the field of amazing drivers and cars I'm up against. Still need to get some front swaybar action or just stiffer springs, but at this point the car is about to be retired from autocross duty. At least it won't be going as often as it has.
What I'm trying to say is the e21 I picked up last year has been getting the old m42/trans from this scuzzlebutt 318is installed in it. I've fully gutted it, and will be running in XP all 2019 season if things go well. 2020 may be allowing like motor swaps, so it could potentially be a DP car with a weight penalty. It's also getting built for the GRM 2019 Challenge, so it's all on a super tight budget. I'll start a thread here in a little while to catch everyone up. Oh, I also bought a 63 Baja for the next Gambler 500 near me in the Ozarks and possibly one in Kansas.

It needs installed bad. That and some harness setup because I'm all over the place trying to stay put in the seat. Unfortunately I just moved into a new house last Friday, so my garage isn't quite as functional as I'm used to.Leave a comment:

So Hoosier has a closeout sale on 225 50 14 a7s. $100 each with a flat rate of $15 shipping no matter how many tires you order. This works out perfect, as I have the stock weaves laying around that will eventually be used for the GRM Challenge e21 I'm working on. I decided to give these a try last at last Sunday's autocross on the e30 to see what the fuss is all about. YES. I will take a truck load, thank you! I knocked roughly 4 seconds off my normal times, and with some seat time I think that could end up being another second quicker. Maybe. Either way, I love the new found grip. So I ordered another set, putting my grand total for two sets at $830. Way less than shelf price for just one set. I've got another double header this weekend, so hopefully I can climb my way to the top of the pack.

ah man i was really hoping it would be screen time of it driving vs. parking. Pretty cool either way though.Had autocross with the Vette club on the 5th and the SCCA yesterday. I guess the local news showed up yesterday and now my car is famous with about 3 seconds of screen time.

So I forgot to put up some pics from last Sunday's autocross. It made getting the AC fixed a high priority. We saw 100+ temps Thursday and Friday, so over the weekend I did my best to get everything installed. Dryer, parallel flow condenser, expansion valve, r134a pressure switch, evaporator, and of course some Pag oil. I was able to pull a good vaccum and it held without moving for a couple hours. I then tried to put some r134a in it and the compressor wouldn't engage. Gotta troubleshoot what that's all about, but I hope it's simple. A/C work sucks donkey balls.

I’ve got one installed on the driver side. Still need to make another set of brackets to fit the other. I’ll snap some pics eventually and post them. It’s ungodly hot plus I’m in the middle of selling my house and building another. Hoping to have functional AC after tomorrow.Leave a comment:

Looks like a fun time! Did you end up getting the Recaro's in? Mind sharing some pics? I just picked up a set today.Leave a comment:

Had some fun at another double header autocross last weekend. It was hot, but fun as hell. I think it's time to get stickier tires and some better brake pads. Maybe install the 22mm front sway bar.
