      I tried taking one mirror apart, and it ended up breaking, so I decided to go with black and no disassembly.

      Makes sense. I have a rusted exhaust shield that I was going to take off and freshen up, but I'm afraid the studs will just give up the ghost.

          For anyone needing OEM decals/stickers;

          Reproduction restoration decals stickers & warning labels for your classic BMW including E30, E24 E28, Alpina, M3, Hartge and other models

          They worked with me, back and forth to get the custom color code, and tire chart for my car. I highly recommend their services. Solid 10/10.

                How did you calibrate your throttle position sensor while the the throttle body is off the car?
                I need to do this to mine. I have cleaned my TB and now I need to calibrate it.
                Thanks
                Looking good btw. It's a long process, but well worth it in the end.

                  If you have the Bentley it goes over a measurement procedure.

                    There's a switch you can hear click, basically you want the sensor to be right on the cusp of flipping that switch. You use a voltmeter to tell which side of the switch to be on, it's pretty simple.

                        Yeah, it's a real fine line.
                        I have mine dialed in to right as the butterfly moves, it clicks over.

                          Excellent. I think I was able to get that as well. I basically just cranked it to one side for the most part

                            That's how the one that was on the car was, it was all the way to one side.
                            The new one is about 1/2 in the middle. I figured it was 30 years of wear and tear. :iono:

                                Alright thank you for the help. I do have the Bentley manual. I haven't looked through it yet. I know I cleaned it up really good and got all the oil off which required me taking it out of the housing,when I reinstalled it, I just pulled to one side and screwed it in. I noticed there was an adjustment by this thread so figured I need to adjust for the best results.
                                Thank you to everyone for the help. Now we can go back to our regularly scheduled build lol.
