I went with the most expensive shit, don't use what I've got, lol.

      All PPG
      EPC 15 Primer
      EHP Envriobase color
      Deltron 2021

If you're thinking about painting a car yourself, find a local auto paint supplier and go talk to them. You'll want a good Acrylic Urethane system, commonly referred to as 2k. Be prepared to spend some coin through, at least a thousand.

First coat of clear on. Looking pretty good so far.

I prepped the surfaces, but there's a bit more dirt that I thought there would be (based on previously spraying items in the garage) but oh well. A few runs and things to clean up later as well.

Some panels have tons of these tiny dots, hoping I can polish those out.

              Note:
The ECS box is the one the bumpers came in.

What sort of gun/compressor setup are you running?

Yup, it's a rinky dink system, but it got the job done.
It's a great system, but I would recommend something else were I to do this again.

Looks like you are spraying it a little dry. lay it on heavy so you have something to wet sand and buff, it should stop the texture it has.

                        Right.

I noticed after the second coat of clear I could have gone a bit heavier than the first.

The orange turned out way nicer looking than I was expecting it to honestly. When i think orange i think construction cones or supercar, no in between, but this is changing my mind.

I've planned on doing something similar to this, but need to get my tools sorted. I probably will go with a single stage urethane cause it's so incredibly easy in comparison to a 2 stage. clear coat sucks to work with, period.

Solid plan, I wished I had gone this route TBH.

I've always wanted to paint a car, and now I have.

Lessons learned along the way for sure.
